Please Post your links/names of accredited and CHEAP online course schools

Published

After speaking with many students on this issue, maybe we can list all the schools that are accredited and have online courses for under...say...150.00 per credit?

Thanks :)

This is a great post!

Here are a few:

byu.edu

clovis.edu

sanjuancollege.edu

riosalado.edu

MDP, thanks so much, I think this will truly help prospective students looking to fulfill that one prerequisite....

Maybe I should have said under 200.00 per credit....seems it's coming to that...

But, whatever, ANY help in that regard would be much appreciated :)

p.s. when I said"cheap"...don't misconstrue, I just really meant "inexpensive" ....something that I know is a huge factor for some of us who are counting pennies.

I'm a bit of a link collector. :D Not sure of the prices of all of those, but I don't think they're too expensive. But my first suggestion -- check your closest/local community college! So many schools are offering online courses these days, seriously.

Yes, isn't it grand! :) Thanks Lunah

Look at your own state's university system first.

NYS is $181 for residents, well above that for non-residents.

Good point Sue, there are some that do charge more for out of state online courses. btw here is a link to a Masschusetts college Course Finder for online learning

iowacconline.com - Iowa's consortium of community colleges. My "home school" is Iowa Lakes CC - $138 per credit for online classes. I have taken Nutrition with them and am taking Chem with them starting next week.

I did A&P I and II, Statistics, and Micro through CCConline but decided to switch to Iowa when CCCraised their prices a few years ago. I need to save my $$ for my BSN program!! :specs:

I am applying for a NP certificate (going onto a MSN bridging after in Ontario). I was told my statistics is too old (has to be within 5 years). They say they won't accept community college course as a redo. Has anyone ever heard of that? Personally, it sounds like a money grab to me to incent you to go to their class. All the online university stats classes are more money than that. The cheapest I have seen is Univ. of Manitoba at $133.00 per credit hour (CAD). But I don't know how much in app. fees etc there are. Anyway just wondering why they don't accept CC courses and if other schools are also doing this.

sru.edu $229 per credit for the RN-BSN online program.
