  1. iowacconline.com - Iowa's consortium of community colleges. My "home school" is Iowa Lakes CC - $138 per credit for online classes. I have taken Nutrition with them and am taking Chem with them starting next week. I did A&P I and II, Statistics, and Micro through CCConline but decided to switch to Iowa when CCCraised their prices a few years ago. I need to save my $$ for my BSN program!!
  2. I took micro through CCD during fall 05 and it was a good experience. The labs were pretty time consuming and you really need to plan ahead to make sure you have enough time to complete them, but as long as you can stay on top of the labs you should be fine! I wound up with an A!
  3. Hi! I took all of my science prereqs that I needed (A&P 1 & 2, micro, as well as statistics) through CCD on CCConline. The classes were very challenging and time consuming, but they are honored at the nursing school I am applying to and were ideal for me since I have a full time job. I didn't apply for scholarships or anything, but the tuition was pretty affordable when I took the classes (last year). Good luck!
  4. I grew up in the LBI area and SOCH does not have the greatest of reputations as far as care goes, but I think it has improved in the past few years. As far as working conditions and salary go, I have no clue.
