  1. This is a great post! Here are a few: byu.edu clovis.edu sanjuancollege.edu riosalado.edu
  2. my friend is taking a few pre-reqs at byu.edu, the classes start whenever you register and you have one year to finish. i think you can take the psych without general psych first. they have the syllabus right with the descriptions.
  3. i am currently taking a&p I, of course it isn't a summer course but my teacher usually gives us guidelines of what we need to know as far as memorizing bones, muscles, etc. it is a good idea starting ahead to learn the bones and muscles. like a previous poster said, it is mostly memorization. hopefully because it is a summer course, your teacher will narrow down what you have to memorize. (at least that is what i am hoping happens in my 4 weeks a & p II class this summer). good luck!
  4. the community colleges offer genetic online over the summer. i have posted seperately regarding that (i am worried genetics might be too hard to take online). i think you will have to take chemistry before genetics but i am not totally sure.
  5. i am thinking about applying UCONN Mbein program. they require a genetics course. i was thinking about taking it either at a community college (Bio 260 - Principles of Genetics) or maybe online from BYU (it costs $423 not including books, etc.). i have a few questions: 1. How hard is genetics? I have to get a B and i have heard it is REALLY hard. 2. Has anyone taken genetics online? I am nervous it will be too hard. 3. Has anyone taken it online somewhere else? money and time are an issue for me. TIA!
  6. i am going to apply to this program probably in june (to get my place as pp recommended). however, i have a few questions, maybe you can help me. will they accept you while you are taking the pre-reqs or do you they have to done before they will review your application. i was hoping to wait to take genetics until i was accepted since i won't need it for any other programs i will be applying to. also, i got my bachelors at UCONN, do they give preference for that?
  7. the class is MTWR 5:30 - 10 pm. it seems crazy to me but they offer it every summer so it must be possible, right? it doesn't start until july so i would the whole month of june to try to study and get ahead for a & p II. thanks so much for the feedback!
  8. i would recommend taking A & P I over again this summer, if you can. if you only take that course and already have some knowledge, i am sure you can pull your grade up. perhaps you could also try to take it at a community college because they tend to have more evening classes and are less expensive. good luck!!
  9. i was wondering if any of you have experience taking a&p ii over a 3 week summer course? it is the closest course to my house and offered in the evening. the other classes are further and i would need childcare (which i don't really have the $$ for. i am currently taking a&p i and my grade so far is 97%. i am really tempted to do this but i have to have a b for the class to count. any advice/info would be much appreciated. tia!
