I think you need to take a break from testing for a few months. I've always heard that the Kaplan review books are the best and have similar questions to the actual test. I've also heard the NCLEX mastery is the best app for review so check that out as well. I'd suggest studying for only a few hours a day and sectioning your material up so you only learn 2-3 things a day. Make sure you grasp the content and fully understand what your studying and not just reading words. Be optimistic, and have a better attitude towards the next NCLEX test. Despite failing 5 times, be proud that you still have not given up and be proud of your determination. I support you!! You got this. Good Luck! :)

Do you have testing anxiety?

In UWORLD what did you get on your first assessment exams? Not counting the ones you did over.

I heard happyNClex was good for people who had issues taking the exam.

Anything I will do to pass and I will not give up because God is always there to help me. However, I will need anyone suggestions on what material or review classes I need to do for me to help and pass this NCLEX-RN exam.

Jeez, five times is a lot. What kind of student were you, and what grades did you earn?

Firstly, I'd suggest to not rely on God to help you pass your NCLEX (and I say this with as much religious/spiritual sensitivity). You won't pass the exam through divine intervention.

Secondly, I'd suggest seeing if you can take an RN refresher course. If not, then look at your old reading assignments and topics that were covered in your program's curriculum. It sounds like you just don't know the material well enough.

That's not how it works.

UWorld is closest to the actual testing *format* of the NCLEX. And its rationales really are great.

But you're never going to find questions that are exactly the same from *any* testing material to the NCLEX.

You can memorize facts, yes. But you can't memorize all rationales. You have to be able to truly understand them, to visualize them inside your head as you're taking the test. To know your pathophysiology, not just memorize a bunch of facts.

Like another poster said, take a breather. Identify your weaknesses. Talk to a former advisor.

I think it is time for you to get back to the basics and attempt to relearn everything. Wait a few months for your next exam, go slow and steady (don't overload yourself), and start at the beginning. Study the material in the same order in which you took your classes. Look on Facebook or at your school for study groups. Create a list of questions and answers, and give it to a friend so they can verbally quiz you at random. Consider volunteering or working at a hospital so you can see your classroom topics applied in "the real world". Watch YouTube tutorials (make sure they are from reliable sources). Good luck!
