how many of you have already started studying for next semester?

i have to come clean! i have purchased most of my books. i would have purchased them all, but some are not in, yet. in dosage & calculations, i have completed all exercises through ch 4. in fundamentals, i have read the first 3 chapters and completed all definitions, study questions & outlines.

yes, i am a nerd!

should i be doing anything else? any hints, tips or advice?

Marie,

We're starting out with Cardiovascular anatomy. Fetal pig heart and cat discection for the study of the arterial/venous system. Then on to Pulmonary, Digestive and Reproductive.

I made a commitment to the Honors section of Anatomy. It will consist of weekly presentations to the class about diseases related to current course content. I'm VERY stoked about that. I'm looking forward to showing what I'm made of.

Since lecture is heavily physiological,(and my instructor is kind of a kook) I guess I'll be starting my chemistry/pharmacology studies a little early. My instructor also loves the nervouse system so I guess that electrical conduction will be at the top of the list.

I'm glad I started the lab homework. It's very time consuming, but I think in a week I'll have it whipped.( I made that very same claim last week!)

Do you have a fill-in-the-blanks type of format to your lab homework? The anatomical charts that we have to fill in are horrendous:eek: Some of the field the organs are in is mostly blacked out or blurry. How the hell am I supposed to identify that crap? It just pisses me off to get a 9/10 on a TAKEHOME assingment for crying out loud.

How about you?

Brad

I started a year before I even entered into school, I wanted to be ahead!

So, I was a super-jedi nerd!

old-master has spoken......

Specializes in Geriatrics, Home Health, Rural ER.

studying doesn't make you a nerd - it makes you prepared and shows you're interested!

:p

i've been studying pharmacology for three months now in preparation for spring quarter. i have to admit, though, that i have another motivator - i'm starting to work as a med-tech next week. i've worked at this facility for eight years and it's my turn to work the med cart. i'm very excited.

is anyone else working as a med-tech?

Specializes in Cardiolgy.

What is a med-tech?

Thanks, that really helps. I took A&P I last year and should have gone right one to II but didn't... so taking it this spring.

Yes, we have fill in the blanks too for lab book, I'm going to get started on that good idea !

Thanks and good luck

marie

Ok, I bought a used Incredibly Easy A&P book from springhouse so I think that will help with A&P II, wish I had it for A&P I, instructor was really tough.

Those books are so helpful !
