-2.5 Gpa with BA in psychology from undergrad.
-Currently doing my prerequisites for nursing school with a 3.70 in first semester courses.
-JUST found out on this forum that I can go from BA to MSN WITHOUT having to go RN-BSN-MSN route.
But given my grades, what schools would take me? Most say their cut off is 3.0 from any major.
1. Should I go Associates then ASD-MSN?
2. Accelerated BSN? (is it less competitive?)
3. Or are there schools that will take me directly into the MSN?
Thank you ladies in advance!
Your educational pathway cannot be answered here. Only your school advisor can guide you.Best of luck, let us know how it turns out.
I'm trying to find information in my home state, but thought this forum would be good as there seems to be a lot of informed posters on this forum.
Thank you BeenthereDoneThat
In a previous thread someone suggested RN to MSN for a poster, they said that schools will only look at your grade work from the associates, thus giving time to reclaim yourself.
When I applied to grad school, I got asked about an F I got in a phys ed course 20 yrs earlier, the first time I went to college, long before I ever thought about going into nursing. Different schools have different standards.
I ended up getting accepted -- but I got asked about and had to explain the F in badminton ...
Personally, I would have understood had they rejected you for failing badminton. I mean really, it's those 1 C.H. classes that have made you the nurse you are today. I don't even want to think about what kind of nurse I would have become had I failed Beginning Bowling or Fitness Walking (both of which I had to take for undergrad, BTW).

My bank offers personal loans at 3%... up to $5,000. Wells Fargo offers third party student loans starting at like 3.6%... with a variable APR... and that's just the teaser rate for people with an 850 FICO score, a 10% debt:earnings ratio, 40 year clean credit history, and who own their own home.
Shh! They'll kick us out. Didn't you see the "no memberes allowed" sign?
