Hi 1st of all take a deep breath going in and go in there believing that you have got this. Now I got to a point when I was just full and couldn't absorb anymore and at that point I only reviewed the 35 page study guide found on this site (I'll try to find it again and share the link with you) sounds like your doing all your general study stuff already. I did Kaplan and loved it.
Keep practicing questions and be positive. Thinking of negative won't help you and Increase your anxiety. If you do a lot questions and see that you do well, you will have confidence yourself. I am going to take nclex end of the month and sometime freaking. But when I see I am getting fair % q trainer and q banks, I feel better.
So I failed the nclex the first time around and I have put off taking the nclex again in fear of failing it again. But now I am determined to pass. Been studying for a month now and my test is next month. I still dont feel quite ready to take the test but putting it off again is not an option. Can anyone recommend anything for me? .......P.s I have used ATI and Kaplan review course they were both meh!!
Try Saunders and LaCharity. They are so helpful for the NCLEX and if you have time try youtube simple nursing. I utilized them all and helped me pass my nclex. Fear kept me from succeeding. Please do not fear. If you don't pass, just take it again. I allowed fear and anxiety to swallow me up. I am sure you will find a lot of good sources online. good luck!
What did your report state was your below passing?
The issue may not necessarily the source of the review, but how one approaches the NCLEX itself: understanding the four concepts of becoming a competent, entry-level nurse:
1. Safe, effective care;
2.Health promotion;
3.Physiological Integrity;
4.Psychosocial integrity
Will determine WHAT the question is asking you; the question may be Respiratory related-but is it a Health Promotion or a Safety, or a Physiological or a Psychosocial one? Would you know the difference and choose the BEST answer?
Once one understands the concepts of NCLEX, they can do so successfully.
Don't look at content; you know most of the material because you passed nursing school; begin to do questions related to each concept; review questions and rationales; ANY rationale you struggle with, THEN review content. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Also, find out what concept you are having weaknesses in your report, then give those questions priority in your review.
Won't let me share it just search 35 page NCLEX study guide and it comes up. Loved it nice compact review of everything. It's a basic safety test as well as delegation so keep that in mind and be amazing!
That sucks but thanks for looking though :). But I think that my studying isnt too bad, I guess Im just being really critical because Im afraid of failing
