Please help. Did I pass my NCLEX-RN?

Published

I just took my exam today at 8AM. I was done within an hour. I had 75 questions. I had around 16 select all that apply. I had no exhibit questions, no pictures, no audio. Nothing. I found the exam to be difficult. I waited around 15 minutes. I did the pearsonvue trick. I used a debit card. I took out most of the funds. I left around $20 on the card. I did the trick. I got the good pop up. (I did the trick 3x) But I don't think there's any way I passed. I took a NCLEX PN about 3 years ago. I did the PVT Trick then, got the good pop up, and I actually passed. But with my NCLEX PN I had exhibits, audio, pretty much everything. I'm so upset. I don't know. I was on the verge of tears as I walked out. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sigh. Yes. You lose all of it. Then they will hold your results until you can pay the rest of the $200. Then what if you lose that money and still pass? You spend all that time freaking out even more. Just wait 48 hours. You won't die.

Exactly! Waiting 48 hours feels like a long time when you're going through it. However, you get through it since time can't stand still...LOL :p It's a long 48 hours, but it's worth it to know 100% for certain that you passed. You can never be 100% sure with PVT, so to me, it's not worth even trying. I didn't bother trying. I think it would have made it worse to try. Glad I waited for Quick Results :D

Again, they aren't always considered higher level questions. Idk who told you that, but I took mine about 2 years ago and I don't remember having any pictures or exhibits. You don't know what they consider higher level questions. An EKG could show normal sinus rhythm (which is super easy to interpret) and that could be a lower level question. I don't remember having an EKG on mine either. Don't get caught up in what you thought were higher level thinking questions, because we never know what the NCLEX lady wants and we don't know what she views as higher level thinking

Yeah I guess you're right. I'm trying my best to stay calm and wait for Sunday. Hopefully I did enough to please the NCLEX lady!

Any type of question can be a high level or low level question. The format of the question doesn't determine what it is. The wording of the question does. I didn't have any alternate format questions on my exam, just SATA & multiple choice.

You're getting what's considered the "good" pop-up on PVT, so you could have passed. You'll know 100% for sure tomorrow when your Quick Results are available. Best $8 I've ever spent :D

You also didn't get any exhibit or pictures? Well thats a bit reassuring I guess. I thought you had to if you were passing. I don't know. Wait I can get my results tomorrow? I took my test today at 8AM. I thought we had to wait 48 hours.. so Sunday morning? I will try tomorrow to get my results though!

I had 2 questions where you had to click to see the lab values, H&P & vital signs of the patient. But the question itself was multiple choice. I had no questions that I consider to be alternate format (e.g. put in correct order, click on a picture, ECG, audio, etc.)

I didn't have any question that showed labs or anything. Omg..I'm really starting to think I failed. This is so depressing. I did the PVT trick again.. It still has the good pop up.. I mean I get to the credit card page and after submitting my info and card info it says "our records indicate...etc". I hope I'm not one of those where the PVT doesn't work for them. Im starting to get so nervous. Oh gosh

No, you more than likely did NOT fail!!! I have every confidence that you passed :D

The question formatting does not dictate whether you passed or failed. You have to have 58% of your correct questions above the passing line to pass.

Thank you, I hope you're right!!

I tested this past Tuesday (July 7) at 2pm and got my quick results from PearsonVue at noon on Thursday - I passed in 75 questions, I also had nothing but multiple choice and SATA!! It can be done!! I do have to say, I think it's 48 BUSINESS hours, so if you tested today you may not get quick results Sunday. But I'd check, just in case. Keep busy and hold out, don't spend any money when it won't change the outcome anyway. :) (((hugs)))

I got mine on a Saturday. I remember this because I freaked out that it said business days and I thought I would have to wait till Monday. But nope! Got them on Saturday.

Congratulations!! Yeah I was actually concerned about that, but I don't think they worry about business hours. I think it just has to be 48 hours in general. I don't know.. 23 more hours to go.. Omg Im so nervous haha. I did the PVT trick again since its been 24 hours.. Still getting the good pop up so hopefully I passed! Yeah today I'm going to try and go out and keep myself busy so I don't keep thinking about it. Congratulations again!! :)

Yeah! I hope I get mine tomorrow even though its a Sunday! We'll see. If you got your results on a Saturday, then I'm hopeful I can get mine on a Sunday! We'll see.. 23 more hours!!

I had roughly 15 SATA and about the same amount of exhibit questions. I talked with two of my friends that took it the same day and one of them had 2-3 exhibit questions and the other had none. I had heard about the PearsonVue trick from a classmate that had recently taken it and it worked for her along with several more classmates that had already taken it. Being a nervous wreck, I tried it and got the good pop-up. The next morning I found my name on the Board of Nursing's website and received the official results that I had passed two days later. I cannot speak for everyone, but as for myself and all of my classmates that had taken it before me and those that have taken it since I have that chose to try it, the PearsonVue good pop-up has been a very good sign that you passed. Best of luck to you!
