Pima CC 2020

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello! I’ve been checking this site for a while hoping someone would start a thread.. and thought why don’t I?

Is anyone else applying to Pima CC nursing program with 2/1 deadline? I’m also applying to ASU CEP program! Just waiting for my degree to post and I’ll be all set to apply! ?

I'm taking a break from classes and just working as a CNA at a nearby hospital! Once acceptance letter time comes around and I move down to Tucson I'll probably refresh myself with crash course videos and take nutrition hopefully before the summer ASU classes. I want to try and bring down the course load later down the line so I'm not taking as many classes to free up time.

If anyone knows anyone working or is working at Banner University Medical I'd appreciate a hookup ? (jk jk lol)

Did anyone send their application via email? I had to resend mine because the form didn't print correctly when they tried on Jan 31. I made sure to email back Feb 1 and have yet to hear back today as it's drawing near the deadline that Sbrown22 mentioned. Getting nervous that it might not work again and they bar me from applying since it'll be past the deadline ?

It's already past 5 so I'll try tomorrow. Hopefully things are good. I emailed Amanda and she said they dont normally send confirmation emails too.

Please keep us posted!!

Didn't even need to call! They actually responded to my initial email submissions so I'm all set. Thank goodness... Time for the waiting game now though ?

Now we have to wait like 23 days ish?

We can do it!!! ?

Is anyone planning on working while taking classes? Full-time/part-time/per diem?

Yes! I’m gonna be working part time as a care giver. Like 16 hours a week. You!? ☺️

I’ll be working part time as well, 20 hrs/week to keep my insurance! I’ve been trying to think what will be the best schedule so that I have enough time for classes and studying. Does anyone know if we can pick morning or day/evening classes?

Yeah it shouldn’t be too bad! I have no idea! I’m sure we can ask once the acceptance letters go out!

I'll be trying to find part time as well or per diem if I can find any openings! One or two days a week sounds very doable during the program. Hopefully we can choose between day and evening classes. I already work nights so I dont mind keeping that schedule ?
