Pima CC 2020

Published

Hello! I’ve been checking this site for a while hoping someone would start a thread.. and thought why don’t I?

Is anyone else applying to Pima CC nursing program with 2/1 deadline? I’m also applying to ASU CEP program! Just waiting for my degree to post and I’ll be all set to apply! ?

Hello! I’m applying for the 2/1 deadline. I am just doing Pima CC nursing program. I’m taking the Hesi this Friday. Fingers crossed we both get accepted.?

Good luck!! You totally got this! Have you self calculated your points?

I’ve been emailing the nursing advisor and she said the lowest score accepted for last cycle was 76.

Okay, I just figured out replies lol.

Aw thank you! Same to you! Yes somewhat! If I score a 90 average on the HESI I’ll be in the low to mid 80s. I’m retaking bio 201 since I got an B in it.. that’s the only thing counting against me and 2 points since I am not certified or licensed as a CNA. What about you? ? lll update you Friday on how well I did ?

I got a 76 last round and didn't get in ?

Oh you were just at the cut off! Are you applying this cycle? If so, did you retake classes/HESI for more points?

I did apply, but I did not retake the hesi. I got an 88 total last time because I only got an 80 on my A&P, but I got an 92 in reading and a 98 in math. There is no way I will do that well in math again, so even if I did better in A&P I feel like the score a will just balance out. I did turn in a volunteerism form this round so I am hoping they except that. It is from a food truck instead of a large business so I'm not sure they will. If so, it will bring me up to 80 points.

I got A's in all of my classes so it is frustrating to me that it is so difficult to get in..

That’s really similar to my HESI! I got 98 math, 94 reading, and 80 A&P. So 22 points. I retook BIO 201 and after took the HESI again. I did do better in the A&P section but sure enough the math score went down.. and I ended up with overall 20 points the second time.... ??‍♀️

I feel like they really should take the volunteer hours? I didn’t see where there was a specification that the hours had to come from a certain type of business. You put the time in! They should honor that, I think. Good luck though! Those extra points will help out for sure.

My friend that’s about to graduate said the average for sep 2019 was 76 so you were at the cut off. Don’t give up ! I’m at 78 this round. But retaking bio 201 for sep just in case.

I sure hope they accept it! The food truck is owned by my husband and a friend, but I do volunteer there on a regular basis so ?

Hopefully we all get in!
