Pima CC 2020

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello! I’ve been checking this site for a while hoping someone would start a thread.. and thought why don’t I?

Is anyone else applying to Pima CC nursing program with 2/1 deadline? I’m also applying to ASU CEP program! Just waiting for my degree to post and I’ll be all set to apply! ?

I think you should be okay. Fingers crossed ?

Hi! I didn't see this post and accidently started a new thread for Pima ? I'll be cutting it close and applying this Thursday or Friday because I'm waiting on a CLEP score to be received. I self calculated 88 or 80 if my score doesn't get there in time. Waiting is going to be the worst but I believe we'll all be okay!

I’m pretty sure you will get in! :)

Awesome! Oh and when I was in the nursing room turning in my app they had a notification that the deadline is the 3rd at 4 or 430 I can’t remember! Probably because the 1st is a weekend day?

Are you applying for the CEP too? Or only the ADN program?

Oh wow! They should post that somewhere because that would have been amazing to know ? I'm out of state living in Seattle so I'll be emailing my application knowing and the time cutoff too is very helpful, thank you!

I'll be applying to both. The CEP program sounds great since they dont have something like it in WA and I dont really want to go back to school down the line to finish off credits for the bachelors. Will you be applying for both?

Definitely call to double check the time cut off! Are you moving down to Tucson then?

Which CEP are you applying to? I applied for both Pima and ASU! I’m really anxious ?

My scores came in so I was able to send in my application :)

And yeah! I plan on moving down to Tucson around April actually. Trying to get residency for instate tuition for part of the program lol I'll probably be asking for some advice about the town later on.

I ended up applying to Pima and ASU as well! I liked ASU more and it didn't have as many prereqs as NAU and GCU for their CEP

Awesome!! We may be in the same programs together!! I know a lot of people who applied to NAU’s CEP but haven’t heard anyone else doing Pima and ASU!

I already hate the waiting game and the deadline isn’t even here yet. I just know February will feel so long.. and not just because it’s a leap year ?

Nice!! We can help each other out with the ASU summer courses then ? I'm kind of surprised you havent met anyone else applying with ASU. Does NAU have different CEP course? I know the prereqs are different at least.

At least the deadline is close! Hopefully they're able to get through all the applicants early so we dont have to wait until March ? Do we know how many applied last year?

From what my classmates were saying, apparently NAU is cheaper? I think per credit it’s more at NAU but at ASU you take 45 credits vs 30 at NAU. But also I’ve only talked to a handful of people pursuing the CEP, so it may just be that I haven’t met any ASU people!

We can definitely be study buddies! Hopefully it won’t take long... but from what I read on previous posts here it’s usually 4 weeks ? when I turned in my app though they said 3-4 weeks. I’m not 100% sure how many applicants but if I recall from past info sessions I think like 300-400+? I’m not totally sure though.

Letters were sent out September 23rd for the spring 2020 start date. I'm not sure how many applied, but only 90 applicants were given spots. Of the applicants that were offered placement the highest score was a 96 and the lowest was a 76.

So hopefully we only have to wait 23 more days!

Wow thanks!! That’s so much helpful info! Also 96??!! ?

Do you know what the lowest points accepted were for the CEP applicants?? Or how that process works?
