I figured an ED nurse would be the best resource for this: Any websites that have pics you use to identify pills? A friend of mine found a handful of blue and white capsules in her teenage daughter's pocket and needs to know what they are. Thanks in advance!
I used to work at a pharmacy during school. We would always use a website called http://www.rxlist.com Click on advanced search. Then type in the imprint code. You can also search by color, capsule or pill. It worked well for us. I hope you get the issue resolved.
I searched, going down the list of possibilites I found there was Depakote capsules aka sprinkles.

There is a depakote fitting a description. Only other one I know of is Phenteramine (diet pill). Fits description pretty close. It is a generic brand I think.
Please.......
Call your local poison center. They are able to look up pills in a computer data base based on your description, color, type of pill, and markings. I would not rely on anyone else to do this for you. There are millions of pills out there that look alike. I work in an ER and this is what we do to identify unknown pills.
Phentermine 30 mg (brand name Fastin) is a diet pill that fits that description.
Go to:
http://www.drugs.com/pill_identification.html
I use this at work at to identify "unknowns."
Click the "I agree" option to take you to the next page where you can enter imprint, shape and color.
Good luck.
You've gotten some good answers here ... including the suggestion that the parent talk with their child.
However, with a capsule, anything could have been put into it -- it's going to be very hard to know. The resources that have been pointed out here are great for pill identification but with capsules it can be a crapshoot.
