I have 3 classes left til I can apply for the RN program........
A&P1
A&PII
and Microbiology
I was curious should I take A&PI this summer or would microbiology be better first? I am going to take all of them probably seperate just cause...... so I'm looking at another year...... sigh.
I asked my Bio111 teacher and he said he did not recommend taking any of these together.
ANy other PPCC input would be great! Thanks :)

I just came upon this post, so hopefully the OP is still out there.
I think A&P I is a prerequisite for Microbiology at PPCC. I took A&P I in a semester, then took A&P II and Microbiology together in the next semester.

I'm at Pikes Peak CC right now and waiting for my letter to see if I got accepted into Fall or Spring semesters (after being on the waitlist for a year)! A&PI is a pre-req to Micro and A&PII. I would def. take A&PI before taking Micro as I think that it just made more sense that way. I also took A&PII and Micro together and came out with great grades (which you will now have to watch because they changed the requirements of the program). Good luck!

i am starting at ppcc in the spring and i was wondering if you know anything aboy the lpn exit option.
Hi TWhite - I'm also starting the nursing program in Jan so I'm excited to meet you. I'm not sure how they are going to do the LPN exit option for our class since the 2nd and 3rd semesters are back to back. You may be able to exit the class in December and wait until May to complete the LPN portion of it. You might want to give Kristen a call.
Are you as excited as I am? I've done the drug test, background check, got both of my uniforms and I've scheduled my update for CPR for next month. All I have left is that and the TB test! I can't wait until January gets here!
I'm so sorry i didnt reply sooner . i started working and got swamped. I'm not in the nursing program yet . i'm just starting the prereqs. Can you tell me about how long it took you to get accepted into the rn program. I recently met someone who said she was on the waiting list for 2 years! That really bummed me out. I'm so excited about starting . i just hope it doesnt take forever. Good luck to you , i can't wait to be where you are .
