PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

Good luck, everyone! I'm going to be on edge until I have that letter in my hands! I received my confirmation letter last week notifying me that my applications were complete and that I am moving forward to the selection process!! Eek!! This wait is going to kill me!

Got my little application confirmation letter! Anyone else apply to Dade city??

I applied everywhere haha! I really want Porter since I live not even 10 min away, but would be ok with East campus. West campus would be a serious HIKE so I am keeping my fingers crossed for Porter or East! I wish how I knew how they choose which campus you get!

Hey everyone! I am a Fall 2015 generic track Porter Campus hopeful! Good luck to all!

Now aren't you only aloud to apply to 2 campuses..?

Porter is new so id rather go there but heard they have less seats so I only applied east and west

Cookie I turned in two. The one for porter and the other one that says east/west so I assume it's for both? Idk..

I THOUGHT it depended on what campus you took it too... hmm. They need to provide a little more clarity there..

Cookie, what they told me is that for the east/west app it applies to both campuses, but they will try to put you in the one closest to your house. I turned both my porter and east/west apps in at the west campus.

This is interesting because advising told me that west has 60 seats, east had 60 seats and porter had 30 seats so provided that east and west were not combined and required separate app it would be advantageous to apply to both east and west not porter, but if that 60 is actually 30 west 30 east I guess it makes no difference

*if you are only aloud to apply to 2 campuses

I definitely agree with what you are saying. From what it says on PHSC's website; for fall term there are 24 students admitted to each campus for the RN generic program. I'm not sure about LPN or transition.
