PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

That's what I was hoping! Thank you, WithValor!

Hello everyone :-) I am a transition hopeful. I've been following this thread for a long time and curious @withvalor if ended up taking any classes over or just the teas to try and get your composite score up or are you going to try and apply with the same score.. my gpa is not great so I'm worried.. i took the teas but am retaking it next Thursday to try and get a higher score. :-)

I turned in my applications today!! I applied to Generic RN for Porter Campus and East/West Pasco. This wait is going to drive me insane Lol!!!

Thank you!! Good luck to you as well!

I have a 3.9 and 72 on the TEAS. I'll be applying to Porter and East. I am a Pasco resident I believe my composite score is an 84. Im super excited!!

@LPNtoRN1day

Hello! Unfortunately I cannot retake the pre-req classes because I am using the GI Bill to go to school. I retook the TEAS again and got a lot higher than my previous score, but I am going to retake it just ONE more time to see if I can get in the high 80's or 90's. I am going to apply to the RN generic on Porter Campus again, and on West Campus this time. I think I am going to apply for the LPN program as well. Hopefully i'll get accepted to at least one!

I heard that the transition program is difficult to get into, but I know you can do it! What is your GPA, TEAS score??

That's good valor.. hope you do better on your TEAS.. i just took the Teas again and didn't do as well as I had hoped and my GPA isn't the best so my composite will be 75 or so... going to apply to bith West and north campus and just be hopeful!!!

Officially applied to the LPN RN transition program today. :-) Now the wait... good luck everyone.

Good luck britt and LPNtoRN! Hopefully we can all receive those beautiful acceptance letters this summer! Only two and a half weeks to go til apps are due...then the REAL wait begins!

I wish the deadline was like last year June 1, then we might would recieve our letters sooner. lol

Hello everyone! I completed my LPN at PHSC and have applied for this year's transition program as well. Low gpa but good TEAS scores and Pasco resident so *fingers crossed*. Good luck to everyone who has applied!
