PHSC 2015 Nursing Hopefuls

Published

Hey everyone!

I found one topic on this, but it wasn't very active, so I hope this one becomes a little more successful. My name is Jennifer, and I am applying for the January 2015 Nursing Program at PHSC. My home campus is Porter at Wiregrass Ranch. Are there any other 2015 hopefuls? I'd like to get to know you all! I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday and am so nervous. This will be my first time taking the TEAS. Have any of you taken it? How was it?

Any tips? I have finished all me pre-reqs and finished with a 3.6. Not too bad, wish I would have got higher! Hope I get in! Good luck to all you ladies!

Thanks!

I had one balancing an equation. I studied the periodic table alot and that was a waste. It was pretty random to be honest.

yea there is another thread for 2015 hopefuls. Forgot to add my home campus is EC but I am hoping for Porter if I score enough to apply. So nerve wracking! Everyone on this thread did great for Teas IMO.

I submit my application Monday and then the long wait begins haha! Yes i also posted in the other thread but this one seems to be the main one so ill probably stick to this one! It suck not know what to expect and the long wait is gonna kill me. Good thing im taking 5 classes to keep my mind busy! So happy to have found this site though talking to you guys makes me not feel alone my friends and husband don't understand how stressful this whole process is!

I have a 3.6 gpa, resident, applying for the West Campus, and my current TEAS is 71.3. I am going to take the test again. What would my score be?

Smiash- I'm pretty sure your total points is 81.15. Mike can you check?

Daiquirin- 84.5% West campus

Heather.rodgers88- 82.875% Porter campus

Jemcvay- 82.825% West campus

Mikes’ goals- 81.76% West campus

smiash- 81.15% West campus

WithValor- 73%-78% (Not sure if resident) Porter campus

Sharona918- 68.35%-73.35% (Not sure if resident) West campus

Sweet101- 3.5,No Teas, Resident, Porter campus

Yes you were correct on his score, I had no internet for some time and I couldn't log on to the site through my phone for some reason. Goodluck on the retake.

Does anyone know where I could find info on putting sentences in order? If I remember correctly there should be a couple questions like that on the teas.

I was going to apply to both lpn and rn just incase I don't get into rn. I read on one forum tht if you apply to both the put you in lpn since your willing to go that route. Anyone else hear this?

That's a negative Ghost rider, you can apply to both it does not matter. However if you score high enough for both you will get an acceptance letter for both and will have to turn down LPN, In which you would of course keep the RN and they will open the lpn spot up to someone else.

I'm applying for January with a teas of 76 and GPA is 3.46. I really don't want to take the teas again ...based off of last year's spring forum it seems like this should be good enough. But I'm going to retake just to see if I can get higher.

Thanks Mike! Well I guess I'll apply to both and I'll see you in either rn or lpn! I hope! Lpn just goes off of teas exam right? Do you know what the lowest was accepted last semester?

I am hoping the people who are scoring high are the ones actually taking the time to look up allnurses and stuff.
