I would love to get ideas on how everyone is feeling and just get a group of people together like myself . I have two more classes before applying to the program , A&P 1 and Micro 1 I am applying forNursing Program May 2018. Has anyone taken these pre req yet? and have you taken TEAS? I would love for this forum to maybe open a door for life long friendships.

Hi. I just applied for the Spring semester. I'm taking the last of my co-reqs in the fall so all I have left are core nursing classes for the Spring. (I heard it's crazy to take A&P 2 with the nursing program!)
A&P 1 was hard, but learn to form your study habits in that class because it wasn't nearly as hard as Micro. Also try your best to get the highest grades possible in your pre-reqs so you end up with a better composite score. I ended up with a 3.8 in my pre-reqs (almost got a 4.0 but Micro lecture killed me. I had teacher that based the whole class off of 5 tests.)
As far as the teas, I took it twice. It has a LOT of A&P 2 which was hard since I haven't taken it yet. First time I took it I got a 73.3 without studying, second time I studied and got a 78 (which moved me up to an advanced score.) My total composite score for the nursing program was 86.75% which should be good enough.
Good luck to you!
Thank you ! I'm wondering how to calculate the composite score . Good luck to you as well !! Stay in touch , I would love to hear your journey through school being you will be taking classes before me in Spring , hopefully me in the Fall .
You calculate the composite score this way: (pre-req gpa/4 x .45 x 100) + (teas score x .5) + (add 5 only if you live in pasco or hernando).
And good luck to you as well! You stay in touch too! What campus are you attending in the fall? I will be at Porter.
Thank you !! I will be applying to both campuses but my home campus is Porter campus .
Same here.

Hey guys, I am hoping to apply (and get into) the Fall 2018 LPN-ADN program on the West Campus. I am currently taking A &P 1 and will be taking Micro and A& P 2 in spring and then I will be done with pre-reqs. I live in Pinellas County and am taking some of the pre-reqs at SPC as a transient student. I took the TEAS 3 years ago when applying for the LPN program I took and got a 70.7% but am hoping to def bring that score up when I retake it in a few months now that I have been taking some formal classes. I will definitely be checking in here often l.

Hello everyone! I am finishing up microbiology as my last pre-req.I am taking the TEAS for the first time on the 13th. Does anyone know the first date to apply for Fall?
Hi Ekells! The PHSC RN page says that they will start accepting applications after the start of fall 2018 semester but does not give a specific date. I will be taking my TEAS on the 11th.
Last Spring they started taking applications in mid-April and the last day to apply was around May 8th. Hope that helps. :)
Hello everyone ! Just wondering how you can apply to all locations? Do you do it in one application? & is it pretty much first come first serve for getting accepted? I've been waiting too long and NEED to be accepted, also does anyone know any information about any other programs at HCC or SPC? Let me know thanks

All I have left to finish is Microbio lecture and its lab component. My pre-req Gpa is 4.0, and I scored an 87.3% on the teas exam last semester. That brings my total composite score to 93.65. I'm crossing my fingers for acceptance to west campus this fall.
