PHSC Nursing Hopefuls FALL 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I would love to get ideas on how everyone is feeling and just get a group of people together like myself . I have two more classes before applying to the program , A&P 1 and Micro 1 I am applying forNursing Program May 2018. Has anyone taken these pre req yet? and have you taken TEAS? I would love for this forum to maybe open a door for life long friendships.

Anyone apply for lpn program ?

LPN- RN Transition Program: Has anyone else received confirmation that your application packets have been received? Does it usually take this long??:nailbiting:

I have not received anything yet. :( From looking at past posts, people that got in start receiving notifications about 10 days after deadline. So hopefully will hear something by the end of this week!! I'm going nuts checking my email every day. ;)

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! AND CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE THAT GOT IN TO THEIR PROGRAM!

Hi Kerryamar. I just submitted my application today. My TEAS scores were bad, but I passed. I only had 3.5 days to study. I had not planned on applying because I wanted to save the money to attend instead of taking out loans. I have since found out that I may qualify for a Pell grant. My GPA is 3.4 but they don't consider that. Now I will just sit and wait. If I don't get in, I will retake the test and apply for the spring.

Same here I keep checking everyday too. I called last week and the committee didn't even meet yet. Hopefully something happens this week.

Good Luck to everyone!

Just found out I GOT IN!!!!!! It was sent to my email wooooo hooooo!!!!

It probably isn't a coincidence that LPN-RN transition acceptance emails were sent out only one day after all the generic RN paperwork was due to the nursing department.

if you don't mind me asking what was your teas score ,mine was low 71.3 first try but i figured i would apply and try teas test again if I don't get in ,I also applied at some other lpn programs at technical colleges and they seemed happy with my teas score . i am hoping to receive a acknowledgement letter for practical nurse program soon ,last week i spoke to deen and he said they are processing , also which campus did you apply too ,I applied to both but hoping on west ..I'll keep you updated if I hear anything more

are the people who got accepted recently talking about lpn bridge to Rn or lpn program ?

@ Kerryamar. Yes I am talking about the transition program. Good luck!

@LPNgirl44 You scared me i thought it may be the LPN program as Lpn applications closed on the 13th ,Congratulations on your acceptance as I know it is not easy to get in .I almost took the Rn path so I have some of my pre reqs done I just need 2 more ,but I decided I wanted to go Lpn path to get more hands/ floor experience before jumping into RN . esp after taking Teas and getting only a 71.3 the systems and functions part I'm having difficulty remembering it all even with the whole ATI study guide kit , i get 90s on their pretest but when it came to actually taking it í ½í¸¢, I'm hoping maybe you have some advice remembering the system and functions

Hi,

With the Teas I would do ATI a few times and the other Teas books as well. The library has them for free. They also have tutoring on the West campus pretty much all the time!! Good Luck!
