PHSC 2017 Fall Nursing

Published

I have decided to create a new thread for the ones that are going to apply to the ASN program at Pasco-Hernando State College. Hopefully we can share information and give some emotional support to each other :)

I was reading in the previous thread about their score system that works based on TEAS score + GPA + County residency.

My Pre-req GPA is 3.7 and I am in county resident.

I haven't take my TEAS test yet, but will post the results as soon as I have it and hopefully I will have some chance!

Is there anyone in the same boat?

Hi! :) First time posting in this forum. My prereq GPA is a 3.7 & I had gotten an 76% on the TEAS. I applied to the west campus, I don't live in the county. Super anxious, but at the same time really excited about the possibility of finally starting nursing school this august. I have also applied to USF, SPC & HCC.

Hi there

I also applied to HCC!

I gave up USF since I was looking for their second-degree RN program but my GPA isn't competitive enough. I might finish my second bachelors with them, after getting my RN license though.

Good Luck!

ps: I heard (from my advisor) the last cutoff GPA for HCC was 3.5:up: so, yes, we might have a chance with them!

I got a 62% on my TEAS and applying for LPN program and I am a resident. Do you guys think I will get in?

It depends of your GPA and overall scores. I think you will have a chance. Did you apply anywhere else? apply for HCC, they also have the program you are looking for!

Good Luck.

I just went by West campus and applied! I'm so nervous! Is anyone else like me and gets nervous that they won't even get the application for some reason? Now I'm going to go crazy until I get my acknowledgment letter. How long did it take you all to get your acknowledgment letter?

When in terms of anxiety...you are at the same level I am! lolol

Counting down now! can't stop eating! :roflmao:

Ahh I'm soo anxious, at HCC my prereq GPA is only a 3.569 I feel like I'm really on the border of being accepted to all the schools I applied to. At SPC I'm a county resident & have a 3.7 prereq, at universities my prereq is a 3.88 BUT usf only accepts first attempt prereq grades :( so my prereq GPA at USF is only like a 3.5 I just hope by some miracle I'll get an interview with USF = having a chance of being accepted haha

I was going to apply to HCC, but they require AP2 as a requirement and I'm taking that this summer (after the cut off date). If I don't get into PHSC maybe in the spring I'll apply again to PHSC and also HCC.

Hello all! I turned in my application today for the LPN-RN Transition. I'm out of county, so I'm not sure what my chances are. I'm just praying and being hopeful!

Do they accept generic RN and transitions as part of the 24 seats available for fall? Or 24 strict for generic RN and x-amount for transitions?

Within a week for me, but I did it the first week the application opened, may be longer if they have more apps to go through

I heard that they're doing it different this year. They're trying to get the acceptance letters out before LPN applications start. Someone who talked to the head of admissions said that we should know around Mayy 22nd if we're accepted. It's so confusing & nerve racking!! I was told from a normal employee from admissions that we should know the middle of June... so I'm so lost!!

You will have your best luck at SPC since you're in county there. You still have a GREAT chance of getting anywhere, but I feel since you're in county for SPC, that's where I would bet my money! 😁👍😊

I got my acknowledgment letter today. I turned in my entire application in person on Thursday, April 27th. So it's been a week..at the bottom of the letter, it says transition applicants letters will be sent out the last week of May.

That's just the letter that they received your info? Not acceptance right

Right. The acceptance letters will be mailed out the last week of May, according to the acknowledgement letter.
