I wasn't going to do this, but oh well, maybe it will make some part of my brain feel better or what not. Anyway

Has anyone applied or been apcepted to Phillips Beth Isreal School of Nursing in New York? I know of one other person who applied i think, but not sure if anyone else that hangs out here did.

It would be nice to start a support thread or something, and hopefully this won't get burried in cyber space.

Good luck with your last class!!!

hi everyone, i've been reading you posts and i, like you guys applied to beth israel. i applied for the coming september. i applied pretty early and regret it because now i'm all shaky because they haven't contacted me. i thought i did well on the nln but after looking at some of the scores my 128 composite 89 ad is looking kinda feeble. i've been calling the school on a weekly basis. what i found out is, they're giving interviews based on nln scores from highest to until all seats are gone. i have my fingers crossed for everyone here. if i find out anything new i'll keep you guys posted

If its an consolation, your score sounds exactly what I got as well, and I got in. I had my application and fee mailed in two days after the first open house of the season when i applied for my class, and by january my entire application was complete except for my NLN score. I didn't get a call until mid may, i could tell you the exact date, where i was and what i was doing when they called. Hang in there.

Thats very encouraging news mystiqx thanks. I think i will be nervous until I hear from them its wrecking my nerves. It was very discouraging to hear they were only interviewing the higher ranked nln applicants especially since the said it was an overall application packet that they were judging. I'm really glad I found this site its like a support group

Hang in there Fanfaoud! My score for the NLN was 91% and I got called in my an interview and recently found out I got accepted. I know the waiting is terrible but just hang in there and stay positive! Good luck!!

My NLN was 79%. I was called during the second round of interviews in late May.

Good Luck

Hi Fanfaoud,

I sent you a PM but I just wanted you to know that you should hang in there and after my interview last week the lady said the Admissions Committee meet again on May 4th. I believe that is where they pick the people they are accepting and the rest of the people to bring in for interviewing. BTW, when did you take your NLN?

thanks guys i'm trying to hang here but it's nerve wrecking. keanni i actually took my nln on march 17 and it was computerized not the paper one so i was able to get my scores out the exact same day. i actually spoke to ms. stern the assistant dean and she told me my scores should be good but that was about 3-4 weeks ago and i called back last week and she told me to keep in touch that they're waiting on the las batch of nln scores. i guess i just have to wait, but its just

too nerve wrecking

Tracy your score was not bad but i've searched this site and people are applying with hight 90's in the ad column for september so i'm worried about my 89 not being being able to compete with the higher scores

thanks for the kind words baley and congratulations

Hi fanfaoud,

You have a good score.I got a 72 and waiting to see if I will get a call. As I told tootsieny, it's not the nln ALONE that gets you an interview but also your admissn.essay, your recom. letters. If these are excellent then you'll be called. It's true that they call people with high nln first, but you got to have something else other than that to back it up to let them know who you are. nln doesn't tell them who you are. I was told that they are waiting for the last batch of nln results b4 calling anyone which will be in may.Just hang in there

dt209 i hope you're right and the do look at then entire package. i'll keep my fingers crossed for us both
