Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in new york

Published

I wasn't going to do this, but oh well, maybe it will make some part of my brain feel better or what not. Anyway

Has anyone applied or been apcepted to Phillips Beth Isreal School of Nursing in New York? I know of one other person who applied i think, but not sure if anyone else that hangs out here did.

It would be nice to start a support thread or something, and hopefully this won't get burried in cyber space.

I had my interview on March 19th. After the interview they told the next time the admission committee would be meeting and if I wanted to send them an e-mail on the following day they would let me know whether I got in or not. So I found out first through e-mail and then about 4 days later I got the actual letter. I'll be doing the day program.

I don't know if there's just one person doing the interviews or if they have a few people, but the one I interviewed with was really nice and it's was very relaxed, so as much as I know you're probably really nervous, try not to be. Just go in their and be yourself. Good luck!

Wow that was almost a month before you got the letter. That must be nerve wrecking. I am soooo nervous, because I really want to get into this program, its the best option for me. I will update you on my interview on Thursday. Hopefully my nerves will calm down by then

It was so nerve wrecking. Especially because PBISN was my top choice too. Hopefully it won't take so long for you to get your letter. Good luck!!

:yeah:CONGRATS BAYLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to do the Traditional Two Years Day program.

Bayley: My interview was on March 19th as well! Was your interview in the morning? If so, I might've spoken to you....or maybe it was someone else. Anyway, congratulations!!!

Good luck to keanni and others! The assistant dean interviewed me and she was VERY friendly...everyone there was friendly. I didn't feel a bit nervous.

Must have been someone else because my interview was in the afternoon, but hopefully we'll bump into each other this Fall!

congratulations!!!

Welcome to BI guys, and good luck. I met one of my closest classmates here on allnurses, we are attached to the hip. Having at least one friend, helps you to get through the madness because you know that person understands what you are going through. If you guys ever need anything or have any questions feel free to PM me (especially this week when i can get back to you asap lol)

Does anyone know if NSG 103 (Principles of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing) and BIO 264 (Microbiology) is offered during Fall/Spring semester or do they only offer it during summer semester in this school?

Also, I saw that courses like NSG 102 require prereq. like NSG 100/101. Am I allowed to take NSG 102 in the same semester as NSG 100/101?

Hey,

I am a student at PBISN with Mystyqx. The way it works is you take 100 and 101 in the fall, 102 in the spring and 103 in the summer (summer semester ends the first week of June this year). If you need them, A&P 1 and Dev Psych in the fall, A&P 2, Nutrition and Psych in the Spring, Micro in the summer.

It is not like a regular college, the courses are only offered that one time so you have to stick to their schedule.

To everyone who has got their interview/letter, congrats!:yeah:

I don't believe the perfect nursing school exists, but I have had a really good experience this year. They have some wrinkles worked out and the instructors you guys will have are great.

Good luck and have fun! Feel free to pm me as well if you have any questions.
