Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in new york

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I wasn't going to do this, but oh well, maybe it will make some part of my brain feel better or what not. Anyway

Has anyone applied or been apcepted to Phillips Beth Isreal School of Nursing in New York? I know of one other person who applied i think, but not sure if anyone else that hangs out here did.

It would be nice to start a support thread or something, and hopefully this won't get burried in cyber space.

Hey I also got accepted to Queensborough and Beth Israel.

Hi everyone, I have not been on the site for awhile now. I am still excited about starting in Septemnber. I went through some contenplating during the summer because I got accepted to Queensborough CC after I gave in my deposit to BI. But I really analyzed the 2 schools even though QCC is closer to m house and a lot cheaper, I think BI which was always my first choice is the better choice. I did not get to go the fitting either but I am just going to get measured and send in my order form.

Hi everyone,

I am starting at PBISN in about a month and I'm doing the 3-year option. Do any of you 2nd year students know if 3-year students have to buy a PDA for the first year? Or is it just for students taking nursing classes and doing clinicals? I'm not really clear on what to get, and I'm hoping that I can postpone it until next year when I have a better idea!

Thanks so much.

Nevermind! I got an answer already from Mrs. Gallo—PDA not required until the 2nd year for 3-year students.

Enjoy the rest of summer!

Has anybody who has registered for classes had their schedules officially approved yet?

No mine has not been approved as yet either

I would agree that CUNY sucks. I was trying to get into Bronx Community College (I live right next door) and I needed some remediation in math. Well, I took the necessary steps to do so. I was in the midst of transferring from Fordham Univ just to get into their RN program. Well, they jacked up my GPA from 1985 when I first started there and never cleaned anything up. They require Math 03 as a prereq for A&P.....subjects are not related at all. Then, you have to take PAX-RN. Come on, it's ridiculous. So, I will do two more classes at Fordham and transfer into the College of New Rochelle and get my BSN. CUNY can forget about it. A good two year school for all you Beth Israelers is the Cochran School of Nursing in Yonkers.:spam:

My status still says "Applied" too. But it does look like the Developmental Psych class I registered for changed from Tuesday 1:30-4:20 to Monday 9-11:50!

Is anyone here taking A&P this fall in the traditional schedule? I am trying to find a buddy who is since most people have taken pre-reqs and I made the mistake of not.

I've already taken A&P I, but I was going to try and audit it at PBISN because I will need to take A&P II there and I thought it would be good to have a refresher and see how they structure the course, so if they approve my audit, I would be more than happy to have a study buddy too! :wink2:

Just an FYI, invest in a recorder if you don't already have one. It will be worth every penny.

Good luck!
