Phillips Beth Israel Applicants

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....

When I called, they didn't mention anything I had to pick up. I was told my acceptance letter would be mailed. Am I supposed to go down there to get something?

only if you want to get the package, instead of waiting to have it mailed to you.

thats what i did, just because i was so anxious, excited, and i was going crazy wanting to see it in writing.

No, I don't think so. ** asked me on the phone if I wanted to pick up the acceptance package or have it mailed. I told her I would pick it up. It's the exact same thing. I think she just knows I'm close by from all the times I've stalked her office. :lol2:

Oh, thank goodness because I thought I might have missed something. Does anyone know about orientation for traditional program students? I'm dying to know books to get.

we're gonna get the book list before that, and someone had mentioned that its aug 24/25th i think.(but dont know how much of that is simply speculation).

Based on last yrs forum it seems like they'll be emailing us all that info maybe july??? Late july seems like when they email the book list...and the info for the health assessment n orientation?

-uniform fittings r july 20th-is anyone else plannin on goin?

Congrats to everyone who got in!! Great news

When I was there a couple years ago they did allow us to wear white (all white) leather sneakers. Two uniforms is plenty.

sk - the uniform fitting date is on the letter that was with the uniform order sheet. the fittings go from 1-7pm.

nyaussie - i was wondering if it is a strict requirement that the shoes have to be all white...
