Phillips Beth Israel Applicants

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....

Oh, i applied to ATOP, didn't you say they wanted you to go to that program too?

yeah they did. so i'm definitely considering it. i would rather start in the fall than in the spring! lol so hopefully we'll all be classmates!! =)

That would be awesome! The Dean was telling me a little about the ATOP program and that it's a small group of people but because they do everything together the people become really close. The way she was explaining it was so nice. I so want to be a part of something like that! Keep us posted if you hear anything tomorrow!

I feel like a weights been lifted off my shoulders!

By the way, I'm doing the traditional program, but all my prereq's are done. (aside from nutrition & pathophysiology) my interview was on April 29th.

I just emailed MG and she said I don't have to have second interview. (Thank goodness) Once is good enough for my nerves. She said the committee is meeting again on the 24th so I guess I will hear something after that.

also, if anyone knows..

they had said we would need pda's prior to starting the program..

do you know which one in particular? is blackberry sufficient?

Hey sk57 CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I unfortunately did not get in to PBISN but its OK I got accepted to Nassau Community college.

I think we also are going to need PDAs. MY boyfriend has the blackberry tour which is a great phone but in my opinion I am going to get the itouch.

The itouch has a bigger screen and is super fast and from what I hear it is less complicated than the blackberry to use in nursing school

If I get accepted I hope I can use my blackberry tour. My husband will be so upset if I had to get something else. He just bought me this phone a month ago.

How are you Kuklara? Are you finished with finals yet? Btw, did you take the teas on Saturday?

Got a little more info from MG. She said the meeting scheduled for May 24th is going to be very short. She said she didn't know what the agenda would be and that the committee didn't finish reviewing the files of people who had their interview 2 weeks ago so i think those who said June 15th are pretty accurate. More waiting. :uhoh3:

Hi all-jay I got the same news. I have been done with my interview since the beginning of april! So they're def do the alphabetical order thing bc I don't understand y my application is still not reviewed lol o well just a waiting game. Monday is hopefulyl the last n final day
