Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....
Hey guys, I've just been following your posts and I feel for all of you. I don't go to this school but I start my nursing program in the Fall as well so I'm pulling for all of you guys. If I had to wait until June to find out if I got into a program, I would have gone crazy! lol
One of my friends is in the program. She transferred in after spending two years in another college (a college I use to go to) she doesn't have a degree in anything else or healthcare experience so I think they do consider everyone equally. She said she loved the program but its very grueling, she's doing the day program and just finished her second semester. She said her first semester clinical was in Neurology and her second semester one was in Med-Surg.
I love Astoria so much (and definitely lots of cheap-but-good nail places!) My landlord and his wife are Greek, so I've tried to learn enough to impress them. Mostly I just say, "I'm sorry" over and over again, since I could be sleeping and they'll say I'm being too loud, lol!:nuke:
Jay, are you interviewing next week? fingers crossed!!!
I applied to the ATOP program but I'm flexible. I'm a stay at home mom and my youngest will start school full time in the fall so I have the days free, woohoo!!! LOL! I am so having a drink when I get back from the interview. This whole process has been so stressful and the waiting after...UGH! It will have all been worth it if I get in.

@jules: I agree in the hopes that a long interview = a good interview. it was just an insane rush back up to work (where I had said I'd be one hour late, not two!).
@jay: you are going to do great!!! think about it: they sent you a form letter and you took action. you demonstrated that you were willing to do what it took to get in, and made them look twice at you. And even though "pretty much" doesn't mean definite, it still means you're practically there!
oh man, I don't know how I'm going to make it through this month!
