Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone has applied to the Phillips Beth Israel School of Nursing in NYC for the coming year? I am looking to get into their part-time evening program that would begin in Spring 2011. I'm taking the NLN this Wed and really nervous about it, really just the verbal part....
Hey Jay - after I complete Sociology this summer and if unfortunately I don't get into anywhere this September I too will be applying at Queensborough which is literally 10 minutes from my house!
I too called PBISN all day today and got nothing just voicemail =(
I guess tomorrow is another day
Well ladies, I am officially depressed. I called BI today. MG picked up and I asked her for the status of my application. She said the committee wasn't going to meet again until May 1st and that I should hear something after. Sounds to me like I didn't get in but who knows. I wish they would just tell me so I can plan for Fall already. I applied to Adelphi University for Fall 2010 just in case I don't get in anywhere. Oh well, the waiting continues.
Jayzelena - I just called again thinking what the hell I have nothing to lose. MG picked up the phone and told me they were not making decisions until May 1st. I told her how could that be last week I was told they were reviewing my application. SHe said that is true but they will make their decisions after May 1st.
I don't buy it either Jayzelena only because someone else already got a call for an interview and we didnt.
I don't think we made it =(
Just pray for Adelphi for you and Nassau Community for me
While I understand your worries about not yet being called in for an interview, I'd like to tell you to keep the hope alive. I am taking my test April 12th, so remember that test scores/applications are still in the process of being reviewed. There really is no way in telling that you are exclusively out of the running. I know I will feel anxious once I take the test to see if I am going to be called in for an interview or not, but at this point...I don't think being overly stressed out about it is the right approach. Be optimistic and if you don't get in, remember not to give up. There are other programs out there. I am pretty worried about it myself but don't kill yourself over it. (this is the little optimistic side left of me speaking) GOOD LUCK EVERYONE ! I am rooting for you all ! :redbeathe:twocents:
And we are rooting for you too vintagedoll! Thanks for the optimism. I needed a good dose. For some reason I didn't think this process was going to take this much out of me. Anyway, all we can do is wait and I totally understand why. I need to find something to keep my mind occupied. Any ideas people???
