Hey Everyone!
Along with many other foreign-graduated nurses, I was deemed ineligible to take the NCLEX exam for the state of california You could only imagine my disappointment and frustration after i opened that letter. I tried looking into applying for Nevada instead but saw a recent post about Nevada having more requirements as well :/ I feel as if i'm not really sure as what I should do. I'll be moving to California in a week, in hopes of looking for a school there that I might be able to enroll in, but I just want if anyone has any other suggestions out there?
I was also looking into taking the LVN exam as well-- has there been anyone in the same situation who applied for the NCLEX-pn exam and got their ATT? If so, please share the process and experience! :)
Also, any suggestions about any other states i could try applying for? Perhaps, for one that isn't as strict? I have this fear that soon enough all the states will be adapting California's attitude with foreign-graduated nurses :/
Hi! can someone help me on this.. i also got denied for nclex-rn and im planning to take the LVN.. can someone help me understand how to apply for LVN exam, what method? i graduated last 2008 in the Philippines.. do i need to submit my HS diploma? thanks for your help
Someone posted a thread about this topic. Do a quick search and you should find it.
I received a letter from the ca bon that i am not eligible to take the nclex rn. Can u please help me on what steps do u need i want to challenge the Lvn can u pls help me on the step by step process from applying for licensure? Thankyou
You are not challenging the exam but applying to meet requirements to be a licensed LVN in CA. Plenty of threads discussing the process but also check out the BVNPT website (links can be found at the bottom of the page)
@dragonlady your response to @belagee12 is very informative. simple and concrete. you pretty much answered all the queries in my head, how to do a transfer of requiremsnts from ca nclex-rn to ca nclex-pn. except, how do you do a 'request' to rn board of nursing for transfer documents? did you just simply emailed them, or filled up a form prior to filling up the declaration form which they sent you?
hope to hear from you soon. thanks.

Subject-wise yes, but the cases, I don't think so. Though the cases have been shortened to just 3, being able to complete them within the time period of the subject was not implemented, at least in some schools.
