  1. I was just wondering, with the 3-year compliance from the CA-BON, what happens if you (miraculously) make up your deficiencies after the 3 years? You'd resend all your transcripts but would the made-up subjects still count? I have a friend who said all his theory and clinicals were concurrent but he was still denied. You're just barely starting your schooling, NCM 101 out of NCM 110+ I believe. I'd seriously suggest turning back and studying here instead. It's expensive but at least you're guaranteed to be accepted by the board without any obstructions like many of us.
  2. @steppybay: Hi steppy! I tried to send you a PM asking you a question but your inbox is full. Would you have an email I could contact you with instead? Much appreciated! :) I was supposedly under the new curriculum too, graduated last year, but was still denied. Like steppy said, I'd try to get a guarantee from all those agencies that you will meet CA's requirements but honestly, if you want my personal opinion, I'd just go back to CA and do my schooling here instead. You still have time, after all. Better safe than sorry and waste years of your education there.
  3. sorry, done! Aw really? I'm trying to start to search for some too. It's a tough battle right now.
  4. Just got mine too. We should all just email each other for those of us going back to school! At least we wouldn't be alone/would be classmates, haha.
  5. Subject-wise yes, but the cases, I don't think so. Though the cases have been shortened to just 3, being able to complete them within the time period of the subject was not implemented, at least in some schools.
  6. Haha thanks. I agree, we must not give up.
  7. Hi Belagee12, are you from batch 2012 too? So am I, though my school has yet to send the application. The concurrency issue definitely is discouraging. Would it be okay to get your email? You live in NorCal, maybe we can exchange school information in case. Haha.
  8. No idea yet, I just sent it in 3 weeks ago. I probably won't hear about it until November. :/ Aw that sucks, hjreid. So what're you gonna plan to do now?
  9. Haha seriously. I've been anxious ever since. Unfortunately I can't receive PMs yet but tell me your email instead and I'll message you? :)
  10. But completed cases before graduation doesn't mean they're concurrent though. We're the same. I think areesh23 too. We need to keep in touch with each other to know what happens to 2012 graduates! Haha. I already sent my application 2 weeks ago to know where I'm going to stand.
  11. Is that for ALL students or just international students? What if you're already a US citizen and CA resident? Dang. How many schools have you guys questioned? I imagine it must have been over 20... :/
  12. Wow. You didn't try for LVN either? I think I may just have the same future. At least you have a job though. But has it disheartened you a bit, this whole thing? :/ Oh please do, because that'd help a lot. I'm expecting my response in late October so your post would definitely be good to know for what to do then.
  13. Thank you steppybay. How long have you and your friend been looking for schools? Has it been a long time and no luck still? What are you doing in the mean time then? Hey Duke09. I actually only sent my application recently, I'm just preparing myself for the worst right now since so many people have been denied. It's hard to be optimistic. If I eventually get the ineligibility letter I'm definitely planning on making up my deficiencies. It's the only way to go for me. You?
  14. Steppybay, has there anyone (you know) been successful in going back to school to make up for the deficiencies? I've looked around here in the forum and so far haven't found anyone. It's kind of disheartening, really. I don't think I want to take the ADN degree because I really want to be an RN, but it looks like it's a long shot now what with everything happening.
  15. Wait, so private colleges don't have a waiting list? Just that they're incredibly expensive?
