PHCC spring 2012 RN acceptance letters?

Published

:yeah:Has anyone received an acceptance letter for the RN program for PHCC Spring 2012????

Honestly i'm hoping it doesn't come to that. I was thinking of USF or maybe the University of Tampa but I really haven't worked out the details in my head yet!

Maza--I understand where you are coming from. I work at my fiance's financial firm so he sees how much i check this website and stress over this. He thinks its ridiculous and can't comprehend how competitive this field is. He says I'm stressing for no reason. and i constantly read him other people's stats that have or have not gotten in. He just nods his head and agrees to whatever to shut me up. LOL. If anything, this site has definitely been a gateway to letting out my frustration!

So....*WHEN* we do all get in, which campus will everyone prefer?

I was told by an advisor at PHCC that you are not allowed to retake a course. Was I misguided? Because I will be highly upset if this is true. Who told you guys you can retake courses?

I would go to west. The Spring Hill campus is closer but I don't think they offer the nursing courses. Heck, I'll go wherever will have me! I wish my whole GPA counted, not just 5 classes.

not allowed to retake a course?? I've never heard of that. I retook my computer course (got a C my freshmen year when i missed a month of school then retook it to get an A a year later). anyone know anything about this????

ok...so i just called admissions at the west campus. yes, you can retake any course. They calculate the highest grade into your gpa. Also, she told me that we will get the "letter" the end of next week or monday/tues of the following week!!!!!!!!

I think they ill-advised you. Looking on the catalog it mentions a student request form. I'd talk to admissions.

Maybe the 17th was right!

I think we should bombard them with phone calls and force them to tell us! Just kidding, they'd probably kick you out if they got your name.

I called and made an appointment with an advisor. I do not remember the ladies name, but i remember what she looks like. I will find out about this... I am very angry. She flat out told me I could only retake a courseif I flunked it and I had not?

Jenny, end of next, beginning on following... ugg! This wait is terrible.

okay, i've been reading this thread hoping someone else got a letter. nothing yet, huh? all i know (from trying the last 3 semesters) is that it all depends on our pool of students applying, how many applied and what everyone scored. it will work in everyone’s favor if there were not a lot of applicants and a fair amount of spots open j i also heard if you sign on with a hospital, they push you through. (doesn't really seem fair, does it?) anyway, good luck to everyone! (i know i'm going to need it!)

and @ millsypoo- if i'm not mistaken, you have to apply through the dean to re-take classes that you previously passed. i knew a couple to students that were approved to re-take a course and they used the reason that the rn program was so competitive to get in, they had no choice. i hope everything works out. ;-)
