U.S.A. Florida

:yeah:Has anyone received an acceptance letter for the RN program for PHCC Spring 2012????

Not yet. I believe that the selection committee is meeting this week. I was told when I initially turned in my application that I should hear back by October 17th.

I haven't heard anything back yet! I'm soooo nervous! If you guys dont mind me asking, what were the stats you applied with? The selection process is so darn competitive!

You first! Lol :p

LOL....i have a 3.77 pre-req GPA (if i calculated correctly), got an 88% on the TEAS, and residency is in hernando. I have my bachelors in science already so, I've taken all but one of the gen ed classes (stupid ethics class. lol). But i personally know someone with the same gpa who did not get in so it makes me really nervous! :( I'm 27 and recently engaged and ready to get on with this chapter of my life! So frustrating but hopefully we will be classmates in january! :)

Yikes! I didn't do as well as you did! I have a 3.4 and an 84% on TEAS. The only class that I have left to take is Microbiology. I'm really worried about my GPA but I could easily change that by retaking my Microcomputer Apps. My computer decided to break about 1/4 of the way through the class and I wasn't able to make up a lot of the assignments. Oh well. I guess everyone will find out in a couple of days either way. BTW an 88% on the TEAS would put you in the top 99th percentile? I only ask because an 84% placed me in the 95th percentile.

Gosh, sorry to hear to that. At least you know that the computer class would be a relatively easy clasd to retake. An 88 put me in the 98th percentile. But I've heard of people getting in the 90s! Good luck to you and keep us updated! Im in california til sunday so the suspense is killing me! Lol

So, glad you guys responded!!!! I have a 4.0 GPA and an 82% TEAS....not to fret...I actually called and found the stats from last years January 2011 students that got in...and they said that the lowest teas score was 78% and the lowest GPA was somewhere around 3.6 not to say that those people had those together but those where the stats for each individually....so if the scores this time arround stays the same we should all be golden!!! When will we get our letters??? Does anyone know? GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

Your stats look good! I read on a different thread that they rank all the applicants....50% teas 45% pre-req gpa and 5% residency. Dont know how true that is though. Hope we all get in! Good luck!!! :)

I really wish that the selection process was less cloudy! Does anyone know how many seats there are?

I read that there are 48 seats in January...I know it is slim but our stats are good: )) I don't know about anyone else...but I stalk the mailman-lol....I do not know how much longer I can take---anyone feel the same?

I know EXACTLY how you feel!!! My wife was actually making fun of me for the way I am waiting for my letter :lol2: I heard from another thread there were approximately 150 applicants so that's about a 3:1 ratio (applicants/seats), not too bad I guess.
