Energy and time is wasted on the youth. Not to say we are old... but, I'm not exactly a spring chicken.

redsox - 3 kids? I can hardly keep up with one. She's a handful I've been told. I guess I'm just used to it. I do have the help of my parents, so that helps.

Your welcome. And yes I am a mamma of three amazing boys age 1,7,and 9. It's pure organization Lmao. I'm looking at how this term is almost over and amazed I was able to do 5 classes and keep up with it all. Pure determination. But its great to have things like that in common with people.

5 classes? Eeeks. I take 4 and then work part-time.. just 15hrs p/week though. My problem lately is really getting into my classes. Ever since I found out about LPN acceptance it's kidnapped my brain away from my homework. I have two tests next week and a presentation and I haven't done anything. I just can't concentrate on those things any longer.

I can see how that happens. I was studying the muscles for a&p today and my mind kept wondering what we were going to be doing in the program. But I know I have to keep my 4.0 for the bridge. Sooo I'm allowing myself a day or two then have to keep my nose in the books lol. Plus Everytime I see a group of lpn's on campus studying I so try to listen in. The first term is gonna get rid of 1/4 or more of the class from what I've heard. Yikes!!! No way that's going to be me.

1/4? That's crazy. I can't imagine investing so much into a program and not going all the way. I'm all done with pre-req's for the bridge except for Micro. I'm in Ethics right now.

We should definitely get some sort of study group together that meets a couple of times a week. I emailed this guy I know from A&PII that was supposedly going into the LPN program so I could ask him for any tips - either my email went into his spam or he's too busy.

Who do you have for ethics? I'm taking that this term too. And yes study groups are a MUST lol. I wouldn't be doing as well as I am now if it wasn't for them.

I am with you CK73- I have one and she keeps me BUSY! My daughter is sweet is can be, but headstrong like no other!!! lol (she gets it from me, so I can't complain lol)

I got my titers done at the health dept and it was $88. I also got the tetorifice/pertussis for free since I have a little one.

I don't have insurance for myself, but luckily the doc I usually see is going to do my physical for only $20.

I need to get a flu shot too...wonder what that costs??

I'm not sure to be honest! My daughter is 4. They offered it to me since I had her with me and I said sure!

I would call and check it out. I went to the health dept. in Tarpon Springs, but vaccines are a state wide thing with the health dept., so I would assume it is the same everywhere.

She did say some have limited quantities so I would call first to double check :)

Does anyone know if we absolutely have to get a flu shot? I am really against them. I will if I have to of coorifice, but does anyone know if we can waive that?
