Hi all :)
I decided to start a new thread since the last one has something like 275 comments. It's a tad overwhelming!
Any questions, concerns, comments, etc regarding Pasco-Hernando Community College's programs? This is your thread:nurse:
We have decided on a meeting time and place. Here are the details:
When: Saturday evening, July 17, 7pm til whenever.
Where: Brass Tap in Wiregrass
Why: Faces to usernames :) lol--Seriously, won't it be great to meet the people who have been stressing out with us for the past several months?
If you have questions about the plan, feel free to pm me :) Also, if anyone has any brilliant ideas on how to recognize one another, feel free to share!

RN-to-be...
The poor guy next to me...his daughter was born yesterday afternoon all he wanted to do was get back the hospital.Yaz enjoy your vacay you're gonna need the rejuvenation. And congrats again on the Sponsorship.
Aww poor guy! Yeah it seemed like to went on forever.... I think I saw you but I wasn't sure. Well I'll be seeing you on West Campus, my section is 3901 because of the sponsorship. If it weren't for the sponsorship I would've been East Campus cause section 1104 was crossed out on my form.
I'm a little sad I'm not going to see the East Campus group much.
I'm not going to say what I thought of orientation, but I was more than disappointed, to say the least
Oh well. Two more years.
I am praying that our schooling is a little more structured and rigid, lol.
Still looking forward to the commencement of classes. I am very tired, and will be thoroughly enjoying the vacation until then!
I agree about orientation...just glad it's over. But then 2+ hours in financial aid was a nightmare!
I purchased the syllabus w/ handouts for Nursing Fundamentals ($39.99!!)...and now that I'm looking at it, I see it says "West" (which is fine), but then it says P. H. Oles ? Is this an instructor? Wondering if they're all the same now or individualized to each instructor?? They didn't say anything at the bookstore. ===> ETA: called the bookstore and they confirmed that it was the correct syllabus for all sections of NUR 1021C (Nursing Fundamentals).
Guess I'll haul it back up there with me (unopened!) when I go up tomorrow night because F/A is incompetent. Grrrrr.
Great putting more names w/ faces!

Hey guys...that book in the Bookstores that say it's required for NUR1021C (Fundamentals for Generic Program) is Davis' Comprehensive Handbook and is available in a 3-Pack on Amazon with our Taber's Medical Dictionary and another Davis' book we will need NEXT semester. The link is here: Amazon.com: Davis and the package for all 3 is $106. If bought at the Bookstore, these 3 items would be $120 plus tax. Just an FYI. Remember, this book wasn't on our list!!
