I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!
Just as a general post of information for all the readers and applicants:
I just spoke with the woman in charge of sending out the letters. (She called for some information from me). She is STILL in the process of mailing letters so if you are anxious to know and haven't received one, please be patient. The more people call, the less time they have to mail, since they are answering calls and questions instead of mailing your letters I know the wait is agonizing but all good things come in time.
Congrats to everyone that has made it into their respective programs! Great work and be ready for the ride of your life.
To everyone that did NOT make it in to their applied programs, hang in there! Set small attainable goals to work towards the big one and try again. You can be knocked down and just lay there hurt, or you can stand up and try again! I think everyone here is a good pool of hard workers that can achieve what they want. I am confident you will attain your goals. Keep working hard!
thank you but I am confused on how to calculate my pre req GPA only lol I have taken so many classes so I'm not sure how to calculate only specific classes together.
:) Sorry, I didn't fully understand that part :) Are all 9 of those classes your Pre-reqs? There are only 5 on the RN so I am just making sure. Either way, here's how you do it:
A's = 4
B's = 3
Find average and that is your GPA.
So, in the scenario you said:
5 A's = 20 pts
4 B's = 12 pts
32 (pts)/9 (grades) = 3.56 GPA
To calculate your program ranking/score:
3.56/4 = .89
So score is:
.89*.45 = 40 pts PLUS
TEAS x .50 = ?? PLUS (sorry not sure what your TEAS was)
IF in county = .05
TOTAL = YOUR score...

Perfect!!! Thank you so much!!! Yes I have 9 because it is the transition program. I am assuming that lab counts.

Also is true that west campus lpn is only an evening and nights program! Something like 3-10 or something like that.
