I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!
ScarletJones,Well, my husband is the reason for my career change. We were spending our vacation (coming from Russia), June 2011, in our home in Hernando Beach and he did not feel very well. After a visit to neurologist we found out he had a large brain tumor and I from the doctor I drove him straight to Tampa General and the next day they operated on him, actually it was exactly today 3 years ago!
To cut the story short, we stayed here and I was taking care of him until he passed away in Sep. 2012.
Actually starting at PHSC 6 months after that, was supposed to be just a "get-out-of-house" for me, since I had absolutely no family or friends here.
I guess you never know what life throws at you!
My deepest apologies for your loss!
Yes a countdown sounds good!MamaBerry, I wanted to let you know that if you don't get in (which you will!!!!!) and you want to apply to Spring 2015 AND retake any classes, that you'll have to go to an advisor and fill out an appeal form. Spring applications end in September so you'd have to retake a class this summer for it to count for spring and the second summer session starts next week!
As you know, spring semester is wayyyy less competitive though. I saw someone get in last spring with a 77 ranking score so we should both be in if we don't get in this fall (which again, we will!!!)
You know, I didn't even think about that!! Just imagined the semester finishing before the deadline. See? Waiting frying a few brain cells! I can't afford that loss, gonna need them for August when we start
Even though I keep hearing the letters will come in next week or the week after I still frantically check the mail every day hoping for the letter. Lol. I can't help it. The anxiety is building up so high.. I need something to make the days go by faster but work seems to just slow it down more.
Me too....lovely place its turning into eh??
Can't stand it here! (mostly because of the fact that it's not a retirement community anymore, it's a poor man's land and all that come's with that ) Lived in Pinellas all my life. Sold a condo in East Lake when we had our first child and it was during that silly real estate bubble. We paid for this tiny house in this ever so desirable neighborhood what we would for a 4/2 in Trinity today... Oh well, it has served us well, we've made it our home and we are making memories here that will stay forever :) It's all good - rainbows, remember??
