PHCC Fall 2014 hopefuls!

Published

I want to meet some of you! I'm just getting ready to take my last 3 finals, have been studying for the TEAS for months now, and will be able to apply for next fall's nursing program (YAYAY!) I'd love to hear from some potential future classmates, how you are doing/ did with pre-reqs/ TEAS, and share the excitement upon acceptances!

Medic - Dont be sorry - I appreciate the info and the excitement that came with it! :)

Hey Medic...want to post a picture of her letter? Jk...sort of! :nailbiting:

Oh Scarlet you posted when I was typing so I didn't see it! Looks like we had the same idea!

Great minds think alike ;)

:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

i sorta love you

I will ask if I can.

Honestly, Stats was relatively easy for me since to do, just a busload of reading and comprehension of concepts before applying the formulas. The formulas are all on the mid and final so you just have to know what to use and when and it's butter from there.

I will warn you though, I got a B, all because of ONE concept!!! Hypothesis testing trashed my perfect grade in the class! Start trying to grasp it NOW if you haven't already. For me it was at the end of Chapter 7, SPC uses Elementary Statistics 5th Ed. Not sure what book you are using. The wording of how to read the results you get are double-speak. You'll understand what I mean when you study it, but "There is not enough evidence to support the claim", etc. Pay close attention to that and you'll be fine. I wish I knew so I could have had more time to grasp it.

Learn from my loss ;)

Thanks for sharing! It is SO MUCH reading and vocabulary...like to the point where I feel like it isn't even math anymore! I'm hanging onto a high A, but I have a hunch things are going to start progressing really quick (especially given that it's a condensed semester) and I'm going to be in information overload!

So, I just called and she said the committee will be meeting later this month and that letters will be going out first week of July.

I'm hoping thats generic information they are required to give out and that we get surprise letters a lot sooner.

Wow are you kidding me? Reading that makes me so upset! I hope it's not true. I know in previous years they said similar things and yet pretty much every time, they got their letters much sooner than that. One year, a girl called and was told they would get their letters in two weeks and yet they all received their letters the next day. So I realllllly hope that's the case for us.

How ow long does it take to rank us all in order. A computer does it! Ughhhh!

I looked at both of my letters:

LPN letter says that "In the past, this meeting usually takes place mid-June for August admissions... Letters will be mailedby the end of June 2014"

RN Letter says "Selection Committee will usually takes place mid-June... Letters will be mailedby the first week in July 2014"

So, I think that it is a scripted response to keep people at bay ;)

No, it is no longer considered math, I agree  Summer session on this class is NOT cool! Sorry for that! I'm taking Developmental Psych this semester to get it over and done.

No letter today.
