Petitioning for DCCC 2014 Nursing Program

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

Peace Everyone! I am currently a Pre-Nursing student at Delaware County Community College. I take my TEAS test July 30. I've been studying on and off since last month. I am trying not to be nervous about it. I'm beyond determined to get in! Is there anyone else who has taken the TEAS yet? what scores are considered good enough to get in?? My GPA is fine, and I will be complete all my pre reqs by next Spring. What scores would be considered TEAS test "Waiting List" scores?

I just dropped off my final petition documents today! So nervous! I am taking the TEAS again tomorrow. I scheduled it before I took it the first time just in case I needed it. I am going to to try it again and hope to bump it up a bit but honestly I haven't studied much since the last time I took it so not very likely. I scored a 93 in Reading and an 83 overall. Applying for Chester County Night/Weekend. The paper works says I'm in the 98% for reading and 92% overall. I hope this gets me in! This is going to be a loooong wait! Best of luck to everyone!![/quote']

Congratulations to you. You're in with a score that high. And yes it's a very long wait but it will all be worth it.

Today is the day ladies! Everything is in and now the wait begins!! Good luck to all!

By the way, anyone else applying for Chester County Night/Weekend?

Yes indeed!! Im sooo excited!!:D

No, I petitioned for Delco day program. Anyone else? Ahh I hate this wait! Good luck to all :) nursing here we come!!

I'm Marple Day program as well......At least the whole petitioning part is through with! I hear December is when they start sending out letters, sometime right before the holiday......staying positive!

Wouldn't that be an a awesome Christmas treat! :) keep in touch! Ps- does anyone have any kids? I have 2 little ones and am nervous about that balance..

I have four - so I am right there with you. I applied for the night and weekend so I can be home during the day with them. I have two school age and two younger. It's not going to be easy, it's going to be worth it :)

That's nice to hear. We can do it!! :)

Hey! I also petitioned for 2014 day program at marple- I felt horrible about my teas score... I took it sick and at the last minute. However, it seems that I might be ok. I scored a 78% (adjusted individual total score) which says 86 percentile tank for the program. What does that mean?? I think the tension of waiting is worse than anything!

They don't look at your total score- they look only at your reading first. If there's a tie, they will then go to your science score. Stay positive and good luck!

Good luck, all! I'm in in 210 Marple Day now, and have 4 kids - it's definitely doable! There's lots of LONG days and studying on the sidelines of kid's games, etc...but you can do it. I'm pretty sure we started getting acceptance letters in mid-Dec. Those of you with TEAS in the 80s are definitely in; my cohort's average was mid 70s I think, and the year before us was lower than ours!

So nice to hear, thank you!! My biggest fear is missing out on my kids stuff and hurting them and in turn not succeeding in class. I want both so it's nice to hear its possible. How intense is the studying?
