Persistence is paying off...

I was informed tonight that I was professionally recommended by the October Navy board for direct commission. Not out of the woods yet but this has been an incredibly tough process. This community solidified my resolve and helped me with keeping hope alive, for this I am truly thankful. Sometime in a couple days I'll post a timeline in regard to my process. Until then, everyone be good to themselves :]

Spoke with my detailer on Friday, my orders came in Thursday night! SO ready for January 2 :)

So frustrated! Spoke with recruiter today. Issues with detailer! Long story short is detailer is out of.town and only accessing via email. Apparent the detailer called me directly in October and left a message. Problem is I never got it! Waiting on email reply for details. Grrrrr

Navynursehopeful: That last post describes me completely! I got my final selection in late october and I've been waiting to hear from the detailer since then! I also emailed him and got the same AutoReply message from his email...hurry up and wait then....looks like he'll be back in the office Monday.

I know he's chipping away at the final selects. When I left him a message/email, I politely asked where I was in his queue, so that I can focus on a day rather than a random call. He called me a couple days later and we hammered out my duty station. PM me if you guys have any questions :]

My recruiter said the detailer called me directly and left a message for me back in october, problem is I never got it. That's what's frustrating to me....I could have already known. I'm waiting to hear so I can turn in my notice to my current boss! Hurry up....and wait!
