I was informed tonight that I was professionally recommended by the October Navy board for direct commission. Not out of the woods yet but this has been an incredibly tough process. This community solidified my resolve and helped me with keeping hope alive, for this I am truly thankful. Sometime in a couple days I'll post a timeline in regard to my process. Until then, everyone be good to themselves :]
That's a good idea. Being near family the first tour will ease you in nicely to military life. We're in the same boat, we live in Seattle, so if our options are limited but Seattle area is available we may take it. For me personally, I'd like to see the rest of the world.
NOW only if *our detailer will call us...I know they're busy but man...maybe shoot us an email back and arrange an appointment?
*When I say 'our' I mean the Navy Nurse Corps community detailer :]
Congrats to all those selected!! I'm still waiting for November boards dates to be released and hoping that when they meet my packet will be there. Just a random question to you lucky selectees, once the process is complete do you have the opportunity to rate your recruiter?? I'm not sure how my recruiter earned his job (I'm in the Ohio region) but he has absolutely no personality and when I ask him a question he basically acts offended that I would dare do such a thing. I'm pretty sure he could care less whether I get in or not. I want to report him, but obviously I want to wait until my fate is out if his hands. My processor, on the other hand, is fantastic. Good luck to all still waiting! If anyone finds out when the November board meets please pass the news along because my recruiter certainly won't!!
ERMags, hang in there, if Traumajunkie got into the January class, that means there are more slots to be filled the rest of the year. I saw the the navy medicine manpower site the list of classes throughout the year. I'm thinking you won't need another recruiter, because you'll get in!
I don't think there's a way to rate your recruiter, for me I just respectfully asked for another. I actually just went to his boss and she gave me a new one. Another thing, if your processor is awesome than that's good. He/She makes sure you kit is sealed tight and ready for delivery. Good luck.
One last thing, Traumajunkie, tell us when you get sworn in, I'm curious if you get your CAC card and get your dependents their ID cards as well.
