I thought I should start a separate thread for those of us applying for the August 2015 start date. I mailed my application on Tuesday hopefully it reached the office today. Does anyone know if they still send out letters notifying you with how many points you received? If so when are they generally mailed out?

I'm a little confused by the paper work it lists everything we need to have completed but I don't see when or how. Will that information come in an email after they receive our acceptance?

I have a friend that is enrolled in the RN program now; she said that they will email us a code to start doing the Certified Profile account (drug screening, background check). Then I suppose we just go from there. Some of the requirements last only 2 years like the BLS card, so I'm going to hold off on that until closer to the start of classes. I hope this helps at least a little glamcakes lol I know that its sort of confusing right now!

It does help thank you! I also read online that we would be mailed a packet with all the information we need. How does your friend like the program so far?

She says that its a great program! The workload is very heavy and is pretty difficult, as can be expected. They have to read what sounded like a TON of material. She also said that she didn't receive the same stuff in the first letter as I did either. Maybe they've changed it up a bit? But if we are to receive a packet, I hope it comes soon. I'd like to get started on completing everything!

Hello everyone and Congrats to everyone who was accepted! I am excited to say I will be joining you as well. What a long wait it was to receive that letter in the mail!! Sounds like we will eventually get an email with more info. as well as a date for orientation? Hopefully this wont take as long as our letters did LOL! I look forward to getting a head start of knowing a few of you that will be in our class and also sharing info. Talk to everyone soon!

Hello PV Nursing class of Fall 2015! I as well will joining you this fall, i have started preparing my list, as i already have my BLS, TDaP, Flu Vacs, TB, and have registered for my FCSR. Some of this you can do as early as you want, but as mentioned above some will have to be renewed. It will be nice to have this page to refer to, as i too feel lost! A few questions, that you all may not be able to answer until those packets come...

I am applying in August- Pretty sure I will get in as my GPA is 3.8 and I am currently rocking A&PII (Physiology) & Micro.

Any specific stethoscope requirements? My hubby bought me the new Littman Classic III in aqua blue-LOVE IT! Just want to be sure it will work OK.

What about shoes? The nursing hand book says white or black "nurse" shoes. But when I was on campus for a tour of the HSI last Friday there was a ADN student wearing red & gray tennis shoes. I am very picky about my shoes and have large feet, so I typically order online. I would prefer to do this in advance so I know I have shoes that will be comfy.

What other supplies/equipment do you need? I do not want to wait until October/November to be taking care of this.

Thanks in advance-I am a super busy mom of 4 boys, so planning in advance is a must.

Thank you so much for the info. I was turned down last semester because I didn't include a very old teas test score. I have been accepted for fall, but the letter did not say how to proceed foward other than a list of things we need to do. I haven't heard anything since I got my acceptance letter (I have called them and emailed) and I was getting nervous. Congrats to everyone, looking forward to this fall!
