I thought I should start a separate thread for those of us applying for the August 2015 start date. I mailed my application on Tuesday hopefully it reached the office today. Does anyone know if they still send out letters notifying you with how many points you received? If so when are they generally mailed out?

So I heard that listed in the handbook it says you have to have proof of health insurance. I have been reading through it again and can't seem to find where it says that.

So is health insurance a requirement?

If so, does anyone know if the school offers insurance?

Health insurance is one of the items you need to complete your certified profile. But there is a waiver you can sign if you don't have insurance. Penn Valley doesn't offer it as far as I know so you need personal insurance.

What type of bag are you all planning to use? Are you sticking with a backpack or using something with wheels?

I have seen many recommendations to use something with wheels but am wondering if that is really necessary.

Lilacs I've been debating whether or not to use a rolling backpack (I hate them! lol) but I think I may need to. I was looking at the JanSport driver 8 it's a little expensive so I'm currently searching for something comparable. I would love to hear if anyone else is considering a rolling backpack. By the way I was trying to create the facebook group and it wouldn't let me can someone else create it for us?

OK All, I started the group. I named it ************ I will edit out this info later tonight or tomorrow. I want the group to be somewhat open but not totally public. I will make several people admins when they join so it is not just me running the group. If you see something on the group you think I should change just let me know. I did set it up so anyone can add someone but only the admins can approve them. Is everyone ok with this?

Any input/comments?

Did you create a group for all class years or is the 2016 one that I was just rudely banned from?

It would be nice to have a group for ALL of us nursing students, that's why I'm asking. I created one but if there is one for all students, I would rather just join that one....
