Penn State Residency: Hershey Medical Center 2015

Published

Hey Everyone,

I don't see a thread for 2015 yet, so I thought I'd start one. I'm just beginning the application process, and the clinical narrative is killing me. I precepted in trauma at a trauma center, so it was get them in, get them out: usually to a rehab. I can't think of how I might have changed their lives or had a big impact. I was able to attain great skills and do frequent assessments: neuro, neurovascular, cardio, telemetry strips, etc. and do and see some great stuff, I wish I could write about that!

I'd like to hear from anyone applying now or who applied in the past. Any pointers?

What are everyone's stats? Degree, clinical experience, location, etc...?

Graduate in December with ADN, 24 years as an LPN, 2 years as an NA, live in Lancaster County

I talked to Lynn today and she said that they were working on sending out the invites for interviews and we should know in the next few days. The girl sending the invites was off today.

That makes me keep my hope up. Thanks ;)

Hey guys! I also haven't heard back yet! My first 2 choices were pedi oncology and pedi acute care. I was just wondering if anyone received an interview for a pediatric floor yet?!

Thanks!

I haven't heard anything yet.... keeping fingers crossed. I already have my RN license and currently going to school for my BSN. Good luck to those that have interviews.

Spoke with Lynn! She said that a lot of the managers are still working on selecting interviewees. They will be done selecting in the next few days!

How is everyone preparing for the med math test that we have to take during the interview?
