Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

Hi, I took my NCLEX-RN on October 23, 2012. The computer shut off at 75 questions and I wanted to scream. I had no idea whether I had passed or failed. I did the Pearson Vue "Trick" about fifteen minutes after I finished the exam. My results said delivery successful and I got the good pop-up. This calmed my nerves slightly. I am in WV which does not participate in quick results. I checked the WV BON website daily and my license never changed from temporary. My friend took her NCLEX three days after me and her license appeared on the board two days later. This freaked me out. I checked the PVT several times every day and kept getting the good pop-up and did not receive anything in the mail saying that I had failed. I really didn't know what to think. Finally on November 7th (fifteen agonizing days later), I called the WV BON to inquire about how long it should take to get my results. I was told that I should have received something in the mail within one week of testing. She asked when I had tested and asked for my social security number. It turns out that there was a glitch in the computer that did not release results for the day that I took the NCLEX!!! Go figure. I checked the the WV BON the following day and saw that my license status had changed from temporary to active. Anyhow, to make a long story short, I passed the NCLEX on my first attempt and the PVT trick worked for me and my friend. I just wanted to share this because I could not find anything on the internet about how long it should take to get NCLEX-RN results in WV.
Does it work? Do you have to wait a ceratain amount of time before its accurate? Or is it never very accurate
I just took NCLEX-RN this morning at 8:30, 75 questions, ~1 hour.
Just got home and tried it and got the "good pop up"
Is that too soon and just getting "have a test schedualled" because of that or does that really likely mean I passed?
I really didn't think there was any chance I could fail if I shut off at 75, but it was hard, and a lot of SATA, so am still nervous.
As long as it says "delivery successful" in the status of your results, the PVT is accurate. It's always accurate. On the weekends, on holidays, no matter when you took your exam.

I didnt get the good pop up , unfortunately , I have never seen it, I think i Hit the DUMB LEVEL>..lol
Im not really sure, i did hear that it works, according to pearson it doesnt, im sure they want people to pay, thats why it was so weird, like they know it works and they are loosing thousands of dollars .
I still havent gotten the results in the mail, and I am hoping that maybe they arent releasing my results on the web because i did not do the background check this time, because at the NC bon , one of the rep, says to just wait to see if you pass before you waste money . so i decided to wait to send those in again, but if i did, i guess i will take the LPN and at least i can work and then take again in 45 days. But congratulations. I am praying to GOD, that he hears my prayers , because i want to be a RN. Your very lucky, and must be exstatic. did you get license in mail..
