Pearson Vue Trick was WRONG!!!!!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I was crying so much after doing the pearson vue trick. I followed every direction on how to obtain it. I made sure my status said DELIVERY IS SUCCESSFUL. It went through the credit card page. I tried it so many times. I made sure AGAIN that my status said delivery is successful. and AGAIN, it went to the credit card page. I thought I failed.

HOWEVER! I passed!!!!! I got the quick results and I passed.

The first time i took the nclex i took kaplan to study and failed in 265 questions...did the pvt got the cc page. The second time i took the nclex i used hurst review online, had 108 questions, came right out of the test and got on my phone...did the pvt and got the good pop up and officially found out i passed the next day. My final 8 questions from 100-108 were SATA, SATA, SATA, SATA, Delegation, Delegation, who do you see first, and SATA.

Hi everyone, i took my exam today and tried the PVT and it took me cc page, i entered my info and it told me to confirm payment which i did not. Does anyone or those in CA know what this means.

It likely means that you failed but wait for the official results to know for sure

I got a bad pop up so it means I failed..:angrybird3::cry:

How was it @nikkih901? Did you pass?

I wish I would have read your post before posting my concern on this thread. You are so correct!! I guess some of us just get so caught up in the moment and allow anything to throw us off (which will not work in the actual field). I am just going to sit and wait patiently and hope and pray for the best. You are very insightful.

If the original poster is working as a cna still (last activity was on those boards), why is this post up? Sounds like the trick was right...

My Pearson Vue Trick story: Last summer (2013) I sat for my NCLEX-PN and the computer shut off at 85 questions (the minimum for LPN). I drove the 40 minutes home and tried the trick and I received the "good" pop up, not allowing me to register for another chance to sit for the same exam.

June this year (early June 2014) I sat for my NCLEX-RN and the computer took me all the way to 265 questions. Whoa. I drove the 40 minutes home and tried the trick yet, this time, I was able to register and pay. I had indeed failed. I received my new ATT and chose a 2nd test date, which happened to be today (July 23, 2014).

Today, the exam took me all the way through another 265 questions, yet this time I did not wait until I drove the 40 minutes home. I used my smart phone and checked right there in the parking lot as soon as I sat my nauseated butt down in my truck. It took me all the way to the "enter your credit card information" page. DAG NABBIT! However, this time, I registered and paid BEFORE it said, "delivery successful". I was in such a nervous, hazy, rushed moment that I just hit "submit payment".

I'm hoping I passed but I'm not feeling very good right now. I've only read a few times that you can be given a false negative if you do, in fact, reach the payment page.

A positive is always a positive. If you get that good pop-up (not allowing you to register again), you've passed! Congrats!

So, I've apparently put myself through the full Pearson Vue Trick gambit and I'll keep everyone posted as to what happens. I am pretty sure I didn't pass again and I'll continue to try until I do. Third time's a charm, right?

If you did pass, you forfeit the $200 you just paid to re-register as fees are non-refundable.

There have been quite a few false negatives AND false positives in the pat few months with the trick. As it is a trick it is not guaranteed nor is it 100% accurate. That's why it's not recommended to reregister & pay until you receive proximal notification of pass/fail.

Can u please explain? Isnt cc page bab pop up

There is no guarantees. It is a trick. Nothing is official & accurate regarding pass/fail aside from quick results and/or a letter from your board of nursing. Based upon a not exactly scientific poll on all nurses (self reported results) around 90% of those using the PVT got the same results as the official results. In theory if you go to the CC page, you MAY have failed if you followed the reregistration directions exactly after your account indicated delivery successful but nothing is official until you receive your letter from the board of nursing

Congrats!!!! There has been stories like yours where a small, small number of people get the credit card page and passed. I, however have never seen a case where someone got the "good pop up" and failed. PVT wasn't wrong. It was just not as accurate as it could have been.

The rationale behind the whole thing is simple - a current registered nurse cannot take the NCLEX, so that's why it won't let you re-register if you've passed. It could be a very real possibility that your test wasn't marked definitively as a pass until the second scoring.
