Pearson vue trick

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello All,

i promised to to drop a note when I finally passed my nclex RN. The Pearson vue trick definitely isn't 100% accurate. I checked it 3 times on several occasions and it took me to the credit card page. I was miserable cos I thought I failed but I received my license 5 days after I took my board.

Whoever is out there discouraged, u can also make it. I thank God I don't have to ever take it again

I took NCLEX 4/24/15 early in the morning. I was at the testing site for around 2 hours. I went home checked the Pearson vue website and it stated results unavailable. So I waited 48 hours did the Pearson vue trick, It took me to the credit card page. I entered my cc information, hit submit and was registered for another exam. I felt horrible because I must have failed if I was able to register again. I then decided to get the quick results just so it would confirm that I failed my test, but when I payed the fee it said PASS. I was shocked, confused, and somewhat happy but I thought to myself this may be a mistake. Forward 2 days I checked my state BON and there it was my name and license number. So do I think the pvt trick is 100% accurate? HELLLLLL NOOOOOO

Were you charged $200 or $8.95 or both?

LpNCubby I also took my test on the 4th. The wait is killing me I did get the good pop up 10 minutes after my test (just had to feed my curiosity) and again 2hrs later and so on and so on. But today 24 hrs later still the good pop up and tomorrow 48 hrs later we will see but good luck to you

I have until after 2pm today. I checked after the 24 hours and I got the good pop up still! I will update you once I can pay for quick results. I would honestly pay 30 dollars to have them at 24 hours lol. They could make lots of money from us for that. Good luck to every one waiting and for those getting ready to take the boards! 😃

how does the good pop up work after the CC?

Please stop doing the PVT; multiple attempts to register will not give you any more of an answer than you have now, but you will increase the likelihood that Pearson Vue will take you up on your offer to pay them. And if you DO get a 'test' charge, you will be more confused than you are now because you won't know if you passed or failed.

Go with what you have, and stop playing ;)

"Results Unavailable" would be the response you'd get if you were trying to pay the $8 fee (for Quick Results) too early; they WOULD be unavailable. It is not the same as the 'good pop up'. And since you said you went home after the test and did this....yes, you did it too early.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you attempted a new registration 48 hours after your exam completed, and you were able to pay for one, which would indicate you either FAILED and needed another registration....OR.....you were one of the people who Pearson Vue elected to charge regardless of outcome. A 'test' charge for the validity of the card can (and does) result in a charge. Unfortunately for you, it is a non-refundable charge (which is what we keep warning about so MANY times on this site!) and you have no recourse. They provided a service (registering you for another exam) and therefore you owe them the fee.

It's a trick. The ONLY people who claim it is 100% accurate are those people for whom the 'guesstimate pop up' matches their eventual outcome. Sometimes we cannot convince those people of the truth, that it is NOT "100%" accurate, but....there you go.

Since you DID pass, you weren't charged because you failed, you were charged because you offered to pay for another test (that you didn't need, but it isn't PV's fault). Guess you'll be warning people about this lovely 'trick' too!

You paid an additional eight bucks for the official pass result, and then saw your name on the BoN: congrats on that! It was a very expensive lesson to learn, but one we keep drumming on these threads---only do the PVT if you are willing to lose money, and if you are willing to be crushed that you failed (but then find out, happily, you passed) or are willing to tell everyone happily that you passed....but then have to call them all back because you failed :(

Since these new 'test' charges have occured, I know I for one have less confidence in this TRICK!

I passed! I am now an RN! I am over the moon. The pearson vue "trick" works. You have to do it correct and WAIT the 24 hours and don't keep checking it. And it's not really losing money seeing as if you do it correct you only give them money you would have to for retesting for not passing!!!!!
