Pearson Vue Trick

Published

I'm sure this is one of the many posts about Pearson Vue Trick.....

I took my NCLEX yesterday. I have read several articles that swear by the trick. I have also read some that say they passed even though they didn't get the "good pop up". So here is my question.... has anyone got the "good pop up" but really failed?

California does not do unofficial results

I understand that. But the PVT is not the same as the unofficial results. It is, at best, a magic 8 ball that you are risking $200 on every time you do it. There are stories on here of people getting the good pop up/failing, bad pop up/passing & getting charged either way. I can imagine it must be nerve wracking because you have to wait but I would much rather wait then do the PVT & risk $200. Plus the PVT isn't accurate.

Yes I agree if you're going to do the trick because the anxiety is killing you (like me:) make sure you use a gift card and try to wait 24 hours. It worked for me. Best of luck to all!

I took my nclex yesterday .. I felt pretty confident that I passed and I still feel the same way .. I tried the pvt but I didn't get the "good pop" so now I'm waiting patiently for my 48 hours to pass so I can check my results online.. does anyone knows how long it takes for a person's name to be listed on the registry after taking the nclex?

Depends on the state. Some states post within 36 hours of the exam (before quick results) other states 4-6 weeks post exam (hence why the state participated in quick results)

I got the good pop up and passed, my name wasn't posted on the website until a week or so after my license came in the mail. But the trick worked for me.

Hi I wanted to ask you a question since we both are in CA and took the PN exam. I took my PN test on Feb 23rd 2016 and I am still getting a good pop up as of today Feb 29th. When I login to pearson vue its says "results not available". Does that status ever change in CA? I am thinking it doesn't... I have also been checking Breeze and nothing shows up. I even created an account with Breeze.

Did you ever see anything on Breeze regarding your PN license number before receiving anything in the mail? And how long did it take you to receive a letter? I heard CA BON is terrible with sending out letters!! I am so scared. I really feel in my heart that I failed. I really wonder how accurate the PVT is now in 2016

Results not available only refers to availability of quick results. It will never change for those testing for CA.

Here is my 2 cents on the PVT for what its worth. I took my NCLEX RN almost 48 hours ago. I believe Pearson Vue changed their data base to make you enter CC information because they were losing alot of money on the old "trick" by not having to pay for quick results. Using logic only, it makes sense to wait a few hours to check and then another 24 hours. The first grading is on site fairly quickly. The second grading happens when they send the exam out for quality review and also throw the other 15 questions away. I think this is why sometimes people get the good pop up early and then fail or vise versa. I waited 2 hours on 7/6/2016 and got the "good pop up". I then checked a bunch of other times and still got the good pop up. After 24 hours I still got the good pop up, Now, am I 100 percent convinced? Absolutely not and I will find out by quick results in 3 hours. This is my conclusion- if one failed after 24 hours Pearson Vue probably clears their data base so someone can re-register and they can gobble up 200 more dollars. The quicker they get money in the better for their business. Anyways, thats how I feel but I am most vertainly nervous as hell right now.
