Pearson Vue Trick 2015 Latest

Updated:   Published

Hi Everyone,

First, I just want to thank everyone that comes to this website to share his or her experience. This website literally keeps people alive and going during some tough times. You might not know it, but there are tens of people out there that quote this website each day.

My journey with the Nclex-RN in California started on the 2th of December. I took the Nclex, I went home and tried the PVT, and it gave me the good pop-up. 24 hours and 4 days later, I was still getting the good pop-up. A week passed and no result or license, I was anxious to say the least, as some of my classmates got their license within 48 - 72 hours after taking the exam.

I always came to this website to get some courage as the weeks rolled by. Finally on 31st of December, I got my license. The long wait was over.

My main reason of writing today is that through my experience, I found out that the pearson vue trick is not a trick. It is the way the computer is programmed. If one fails the Nclex, it will take your money or decline your card accordingly (for insufficient funds or being invalid). The so called trick works perfectly.

Secondly, If you live in California, and you get the good pop-up after 24 hours of taking the Nclex, you passed. The waiting time has to do with the BRN taking so much time to process files. Keep strong and keep faith, you will get your license.

Good luck, indeed! ?

Thank you. I just found out that my results are pending an official transcript. So I immediately called my school and got the ball rolling. :( Hopefully, this will be resolved soon cause I'm going crazy here. Still getting the good popup but with this whole pending fiasco, now I'm wondering if it's possible that the PVT doesn't apply to me with the transcript issue. Has this happened to anyone? Getting the good PVT popup while waiting out a transcript mishap?? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated.

Pearson Vue has absolutely no involvement with the decision-making process in getting you a license. That is up to each State BoN. PV only handles the test, so the PVT only relates to the scoring of the NCLEX---not whether someone will be issued a license.

The pass/fail results are unaffected by any decision by any BoN regarding licensure.

I just took my nclex yesterday...I got all 265 questions...I did the PVT and I got a pop up stating my results are on hold...what does this mean....I have never been more nervous in my life....can anyone help??

Results are placed on hold for a variety of reasons, for most of which you would be completely unaware--and probably uninvolved.

Sometimes a hold is placed because a palm/finger scan took more than one try to work. Multiple attempts to use the scan have certainly resulted in Holds. Sometimes it's a power issue at the testing center. Sometimes someone finishes in an unusually short time, flagging the test for review. If someone took frequent breaks, left the testing center, any suspicion of cheating....flag.

It's a quality-control measure, that's all. Holds are typically lifted somewhere between 24 and 72 hours; 48-72 seems the most common. It has no bearing on whether you passed or failed the exam (unless, of course, you DID cheat, in which case all bets are off).

If you played by the rules, it means nothing at all, and you will get results once the hold is lifted.

Good luck!

I did have problems w/the scan thing...sure hope I passed...it wouldn't let me re-register...hoping that is a good sign.....I have never been more nervous in my life!!! I got all 265 questions....my entire body is zonked!!!

You weren't able to register again because a hold is in place. It is neither a good sign, nor a bad sign. It just is.

Breathe ?

I know....I'm just freaking out!!! Thanks!

Just finished my rn exam, got 22 med questions, 17 SATA, 2 sequential order, did the trick, got a good pop up, hopefully I pass, second times a charm, oh I had about 86-90 questions

Good luck!!! Just took mine yesterday....got all 265. Did the pvt...only to have my results on hold...ready for this to be over!!!

If you did the PVT too early (as you did, not waiting 24 hours) it doesn't mean much more than your first score was a pass. With any luck, your second scoring will be a pass, too, but....you did the PVT too early.

I used the PVT April 8, 2015 and it worked for me. I checked it more than 24 hrs after my exam and the "good pop-up" showed. And my unofficial result came today and I PASSED. Thanks to this thread. God bless to all those who will take the exam soon.
