Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

whoooo hoooo, i passed the nclex rn :nurse:. i took the test 7/10/10 4pm. only 75 questions & it was over. i had absolutely no confidence in any of my answers. i thought, for sure i failed. i did the pvt & got the good pop-up. it made me feel a little better. about 4:30 today i checked my quick results (allowed in wi) & saw the most wonderful 4 letter word, pass. now my head & stomach doesn't hurt any more. the pvt worked for me. whoo hoo i did it, i did it, i did it.

:balloons::clpty::dncgbby::anpom::hpygrp::lvan:

Congratulations on passing, I'm still waiting on my results. I wish California participated in quick results :(

is that real accurate? how about you? did you try the PVT?

Kind of embarrassed to ask...BUT... what is SATA?

@funfun.. SATA is select all that apply.there are multiply answer in one question

you mean odds? so the PVT is not that accurate?

Well I tested today and I get no popup. So i guess that means i failed. Im heartbroken.

@dirty.. what state? and what item did it stop? how about for the coverage of the exam

I took it today and I am sick to my stomach. I did Kaplan all the Q bank questions and about 3K saunders questions. The questions and drugs on the NCLEX were nothing like had seen when I was studying. I feel I guessed at 75% of the questions. The computer shut off at question 238 I am sure I failed. I have done the PVT and I get the good pop up and I don't believe it. I am so stressed!!!!!!!!:uhoh3:

@justineric: It stopped at 110. Im in Texas.

Now here's the thing... I was on question 104 or 103 when it asked me to take a break at the 2hr mark. I clicked yes and the test monitor came to get me. They had me scan my palm to go out and told me i'd have to scan to come in. I went to the restroom and came back in less than 10 minutes. Upon re-entering i got scanned again and was escorted back to my cubicle, only to see that something had went wrong bcuz it said there was an error accessing the test. So they took me back out to "re-log" me in, another palm scan and got re-escorted back to my cubicle. This time it worked and i continued where i left off.

110 was my last question and it asked about who would be best in the therapeutic milieu: 1) person who takes confrontation well or 2) a person who sets boundries and rules. I answered 2. I look it up and I find a lil bit of both as the answer. So it brings me to this, If im right, then perhaps I passed and the PVT didnt apply to me bcuz of the glitch. OR! I got it wrong and the test just said "ah to hell with it, he failed"

What happened when you did the PVT?

it let me register for the nclex again. It allowed me to enter my CC info.

Im still calling pearson vue tomorrow to complain about the glitch pending quick results. If it shows i failed then Im complaining for sure, I wouldnt be able to trust it. But if I passed then its great.

Either way from what i've seen the PVT is accurate, i havent seen anybody get different results.
