Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

wow..congratulations!! im taking it next week..ahhh...im freaking out!lol

I took my NCLEX this morning and am freaking out!! I had about 120 questions and about 25-30 were SATA. How long do you have to wait to try the pv trick? Is four hours after taking the test to soon? My appt history says delivery successful and I am getting the good pop-up. Does this mean I passed???

I took my exam today at 8am. Like many of you, as I left the architecturally post-modern testing center (I could write a novel about the strangeness of this place alone, beginning with the water fountains) I felt distraught and discouraged by my experience with the NCLEX. I was an "A" student in my BSN program and did consistently well on my "ATI" preparatory tests (though I question the validity, without any proof one way or the other, of the "ATI" tests as an accurate predictor of NCLEX pass/fail rate...simply d/t the disparities in difficulty).

I made the mistake, regardless of whether I pass or fail, of only studying casually about 3 days total. It is now 6:44PM and I'm receiving the infamous "good pop-up." At the least, this entire experience, reading all of these posts on this and many other websites, would be a ripe arena for a Social Psychology study or two. Confirmation Bias & Group Think in the Context of relieving stress and anxiety etc. etc.

Anyway, I still believe, based strictly on my personal experience, that there is a chance I failed. Right after the exam if you'd forced me into a "Pass"/"Fail" life or death decision, I would have said "Fail." It says "Delivery Successful" and it's now 650PM, still also have the "good-message." Yet, while I don't doubt the relationship between that message and a "Pass," I'm concerned that the message, given a non-specific amount of time, will change in status from happiness inducing pop-up to allowing me access to my credit-card information. Anyway, will let y'all know either way. And, regardless of the outcome, I know I'll learn from this experience and be more mindful the next time.

PVT worked for me. I took it yesterday morning at 8. I got the good pop up. I can't even get quick results until tomorrow morning but my Lic. has already been posted on my states website with my lic. number issued!!!

Might not have been a mistake. I only had 1 1/2 days to practice questions. I practiced them for probably a total of 6-7 hrs over those 1 1/2 days. I got burnt out and gave up. I didn't plan to only have a short time but the way it worked out from me getting the ATT and taking NCLEX was a couple days. I passed. I already had my Lic. issued and have my Lic. number and I took NCLEX yesterday morning. I got the good pop up and was shut off at 75 questions. I have read thousands of posts and have yet to see one person say they got the good pop up and then turned out bad.

Do you mind me asking what state you are in? I tested this morning @ 10:30 am and was able to do PVT around 1:00 pm. I got the good pop up, but like many people on here, I left the test feeling like I completely bombed it. However, I did have mostly SATA and priority questions, which I have heard is a good sign.

This is completely nerve wracking just waiting!!

I really want to Thank Everyone for their post on this thread...I tested yesterday at 8am...walked out like many...KNOWING I would have to kick out the funds to re-test. This was my 1st time testing, I prayed that God come through and sit with me as I took the NCLEX-RN...when the computer went blue at question75...All i wanted was 1 more question...Anyway came home and end up at allnurses.com and learned about the trick...I also got a "good popup" but still cant believe this is legit...However, the ease that it has given is great...Cant wait to see what the official results are. Even if PVT was not right... the relaxation that it has created is GRAND...:uhoh3::)
