The original thread (part 1) is now closed. here is a continuation of the same topic (part 2) with the following links:

Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

i see my license this morning alleluia

I just finished the test an hour ago and it shut off after 75 questions. I had a *ton* of SATA and priority questions. Just like other people have said, I feel like the questions were difficult and it felt like I was doing a lot of educated guessing. I just did the trick and got the good pop-up. Keep your fingers crossed for me everybody!

Took test at 8 am this morning. Computer stopped at 85 questions. Tried Pearson Trick just now. Would not let me reregister and according to instructions I got the good popup.

"If you get the message 'Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. "

Can I breathe now? LOL

Thanks to all who encouraged me.:redbeathe:[anb]:

Took the NCLEX RN exam this morning, I feel dumb now. I was all stressed out, but the PVT worked and I received the good message. I also tried the trick with my PN exam I took 6 years ago to test the theory and I again got the good message.

The test shut off at 75 questions and and it scared the hell out of me, I was wanting some where near 100.

CONGRATS!!!!

what state you took? any topics you remember?? thank you

Because you are asking about the PVT I am merging with existing thread for continuity

The test was tough, I know I got my name right but that is it. Most of my questions were the SATA type and a lot of psych stuff. I do not remember specific questions but from what I understand there are no two tests alike with the NCLEX, just study as much as possible and spend a good deal of time getting familier with the alternative format and prioritization situations.

I took the test in AZ.

Congratulations Scott!

I originally took the PN test in 1994 and passed at 85 questions but did not work for over three years and moved to another state so I had to do a refresher course and retake the PN test. When it stopped after 85 questions my stomach and my heart became merged again just like 1994.

Scott is right. No two tests are the same. Most of my questions were judgement questions. I.E. What would I do if and a little bit of others thrown in. Good luck to you on your test and remember to try to relax on the day before your test and get plenty of sleep the night before. I did not study the very last day and only studied for 2 hours at a time every day. Hope this helps.

Well as of this morning I have officially passed the NCLEX RN and now have a License from AZ. Thanks for the well wishes!!!

Scott

Took the test this morning and got the 'Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." God I hope that means I passed. 93 questions - 2.5 hours. Pretty much the same type of stuff everyone else here says. I did thousands of questions in "Study Mode" on the on-line stuff and the NCLEX 4000 book. God I hope this works! I cant wait for a time that I can just simply relax on a weekend and not think about anything except what I'm having for lunch.
