Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

I walked out of that test feeling abused. Wondering how my competency to be a good nurse could be decided in this way. I had 3 questions on Hep-G for crying out loud! Ten med's that I have never heard of... not even a recognizable stem eg, pril, pam, statin, etc.. notta. many SATA, prioritizing and the what statement would I follow up on questions were real eye squinter s followed by a mental WHAT?? So, I've got the good pop up and a nervous laugh. My family now thinks I've gone insane. I need the confirmation! lol. Good luck to all that's currently waiting.

Yeah, I also got lots of those "which one needs follow up"?

The strange thing is that there were so many that I just blindly guessed, but still the computer shut off at 75 and I got the good popup. I can't fathom the wisdom of the computer adjusted test, but who cares as long as I passed.... :lol2::lol2::lol2:

took it first time, failed....took it yesterday again...did the PVT trick and got the bad pop up...im soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sad....what arent i doing right? im such a failure!!! :crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2::crying2:

You are not a failure! God has different plans for everyone and everything has its timing. Trust me I know. Give yourself a little break and get back at, or just wait till you get you paper that shows you your weak areas. I Know it hurts trust me I failed more than once but you have to get back up and try again. A failure is quitting! And I may not know you but you cant quit now, you made through nursing school and boy was that a mission in itself. Everything will work out according to God's plan and I will pray for you. REMEMBER you are not a failure! You can do this. Think positive. I just had a friend tell me today you have to have a positive mind set and tell yourself you can do this. Good luck and God Bless.

Update

I did the PVT after finishing the NCLEX (75 questions in less than 60 mins) I waited till the Pearsonvue page showed that my test had been delivered to the board (1-2 hours). The next morning Florida Health webpage showed I had passed. THe following morning My license showed up on the webpage. From NCLEX to RN in 3 days Florida rocks and I didnt give 8 more dollars to Pearsonvue.

So far all my classmates that have taken the NCLEX (around 10 or so) have passed the NCLEX and the PVT has worked for them. PSC rules!!!!!

I'm sorry u didnt pass. Have you taken a review course? Here is what I studied to pass. I skimmed the Kaplan RN course book, I took tons of quizzes from saunders and mosby, I also really like the Illustrated NCLEX review i got it at books-a-million. while sitting on a street corner for hours(in my ambulance) i did quizzes on my iphone with the Saunders NCLEX apps.

i only studied about 8 hours the day before the nclex mostly endocrine disorders and nuero disorders and all that diet stuff like what foods should a renal patient eat/not eat stuff

hope this helps.

congrats badphish!

I checked Default , typed in my info and it said that my "Overall Examination Status: PASS" !!! I assume I will have to wait a couple more days to see my RN license number show up online? It feels so surreal! PVT worked for me.

For those who didn't get it this time, stay strong! I've studied like I never studied before for this exam, but I believe that confidence was the integral key in order for me to get through this exam. Keep your chin up!

Well I took the NCLEX RN in PA on Tuesday the 14th. I took it with another person from my class. I was so worried. She had 75 questions and found out the next day that she passed. I had 130 questions and had to wait 48 hrs. It was nerve racking. My computer terminal rebooted during my test and I thought there was a problem since I didn't get my results the next day. The only thing that kept my sanity was the pearsonvue trick. Thanks who ever figured this out! It worked for me.

PVT worked for me...I took my NCLEX-RN Tuesday, got the pop-up when I got home and got my results today that I passed!!! I still can't believe I'm an RN!!!! YAY!!!:nurse:

Just wanted to give some more support to the PVT, took the test yesterday got the good pop up and today my license is active on the Ohio BON website!! Hooray!!

I'm now a believer. Got the good pop up after knowing for sure that I failed... I found out today that I passed. Thank God that the PVT exist, it did give me the

glimmer of hope that I needed!!!

Hi RNs! I took nclex second time today with 169 q's. I went to pearsonvue and got the pop up...hopeful and waiting.

i took the NCLEX-RN sept 15th at 8am along with another classmate. we both went home and did the PVT. i got the good pop up and she was able to get to the credit card screen. I checked the BON website and my name and license number was on there by sept 16th 9-10am. unfortunately hers was not. i think the trick works.

When I took the exam the first time I had 265 q's. I did the pvt the next night and my credit card went through...lucky I had the 200.00 because they took it fast out of my account. So it worked then... This time on yesterday I had 169q's and I wasn't able to go forth...pop up appeared...I had SATA..NO PICTURES..ONE EXHIBITION OF CHART DATA..NO CALCUATIONS...PLENTY OF DRUGS AND PRIORITY Q"S LIKE WHICH ONE REQUIRES FOLLOW UP AND WHAT SHOULD I DO FIRST AND WHAT DO I EXPECT THE MOST...TEACHING AND HEALTH PROMOTION...SAFETY AND INFECTION...SOME ASSIGNMENT DELEGATION...PEDS...LOT OF POST OP AND DX PROCEDURE TYPE Q'S....I DID THE HURST REVIEW...EXAM CRAM....INSANELY EASY PNEUMONICS...SAUNDERS...I ALSO TOOK A BREAK DURING MY EXAM ONE ONLY...AND MUCH PRAYER...DEEP BREATHS TO ENDURE...I KNOW GOD WOULDN'T BRING ME THIS FAR TO LEAVE ME....

CONGRATS TO NEW RNS OF 2010! STAY FRESH AND SHARP IN NURSING AND HAVE FUN,,,YOU DESERVE IT !

I WILL POST BACK TO LET YOU KNOW THE OFFICIAL RESULTS...GOING TO GET MY REST AND PRAISE ON
